I think this second round is a song for his girlfriend (perhaps he adresses that kiss at the start to her in the audience too), while the second round vs dice was indeed for his friend who passed recently.

If the musicians who create a piece of music instantly and the people who instantly include that performance in their entertainment at the most enthusiastic point meet... This shows how far along communication is. And so I thought of music as science and this platform that I was watching as a laboratory. I'm officially cured.
