These early episodes are absolutely cringe-making. JJ sits there and lets them go at each other - answers the questions they throw at her, and comes across as less in command. I am sooooo glad that this show quickly evolved into a format where Judge Judy took control of the courtroom - and litigants were not no longer allowed to address one another, shout out. This first case is only one extreme example of the kind of behavior that was permitted. I think the producers were thinking along the lines of a Jerry Springer format ... a format that was highly popular back in the 90s.

That’s a classic narcissistic response. Stay away from people like this, they’re dangerous and will ruin your life.

Court case on a car . I feel sorry for the plaintiff that the mom can not see her son was in any fault. She was more worried about his car and getting money. And for the defendant his son is facing criminal charges. That boy could go to prison plus pay lord know how much . Sad situation. 😢😢

I actually disagree with JJ on the 1st one. I think that she was biased from the beginning for the older woman and the guy knew it.
