Nile and this band line up, was amazing. No one comes anywhere close to Nile's very distinctive and amazing guitar playing. Exceptional producer arranger & performer. Period. The man is gold.

90caliber Macher - I heard in a documentary, that his stepfather said something to the effect that “Less is more”. Bernard Edwards himself, was an amazing multi-instrumentalist, and musical arranger. His bass playing alone, made him one the top bassists of all time, too.

They're singing "...dancin" instead of the more funky "...danSAN!!", as in the original version. Something is missing here. Believe me. I know! My band -in which I was tge drummer & lead singer), covered this in the 70's, & as a DJ, I mixed the original thousands of times.

I'm glad you like all these funk bands. These ones are some of my favorites, always from my point of view, but, fortunately, there are many others else. Let me, please, give you an advice: using the KZfaq web and clicking, for instance, one of the songs sung by EW&F, you'll be able to discover others funk singers and funk bands (the list is endless). Try to listen to "Education wrap" by Community people (it's a mixture (mix) of funk, jazz and R&B) and you'll tell me...Realize that all the time we are talking about music composed in the seventies, for me the best dance music ever "made". Keep in touch
