Hi Sansha, could you maybe do a video about which jackets/cardigans to use with a summer wardrobe? Linen blazer, cardigan,…in which length. Specially this year we are having such a cold spring/summer in Europe. i need some kind of cover up (e.g. for colder countries or even for a dinner out at the beach). Thank you

Great video, but I disagree somewhat about the oversized white shirt. It is better, because more classic, than your Nos shown, but oversized cuts are just another trend that’s coming to its end. Those huge oversized styles will look just as dated in two years as those shrunken blazers of around 2000 do nowadays. I think a classic fit, neither tight nor baggy, will give the most mileage in any wardrobe. True classics are truly timeless, trends never are. I never bought anything that oversized and still won’t, partly because they’re so trendy, but also because they’re inherently unflattering, especially on us petites.

The oversized trend is here to stay, unfortunately. The trend was started in the 1920's. Benefiting woman from corsets and form fitting clothes. Fast forward to the 90's and the trend started up again during the hip hop culture. The oversized trend has strong roots and styling norms around it. It forms a basis for the minimalist and androgynous styling and also contributes to sustainable fashion. Based on the history of oversized clothing its clear that its no longer a trend but a clear staple. Look at linen, this fabric lends itself best to the oversized styling. And linen will never die out.

Hi Sansha! I love your chatty video! I just got back from my Europe trip and I had the most amazing experiences! Croatia and Monaco were countries in my opinion that were stunningly beautiful. I packed way too much! Lol. You made some great points in the video today and I particularly love your choice of jewelry! I feel like those are Jenny Bird pieces. Please correct me if I’m wrong. Thank you for sharing your expertise today! ❤❤❤

Hi Jeanette! So lovely to hear from you! Your holiday sounds amazing, I hope you jaded the best time!🤗❤️ Yes, all my jewelry is from Jenny Bird. I prefer more chunky jewelry and find the JB pieces the perfect balance between modern and classic.

Hi Sancha. I adore your choices and styling. Everything amazing.❤❤❤ The only thing that i disagree with you and fellow KZfaqrs is the sentence: For years and years to come. Thats not true. Styles changes our body shape changes and even in a simple blaser the style can Change. The most recent example are vests Short vest was trend and now they are s bit longer. There are few things that stands the test of time in fashion are classic watches (pathec phillip rolex etc) Trench Coat from Burberry the classic little Chanel bag and all Tods Loafers and Mocassins . Sneakers the only ones that are always ontrend are the Superga ones. Everything else changes. Thats my opinion And i have all of the above that i got from my mother with the exception of the Tods and Superga Sneakers that i keep buying since my20's. I am 59 now. Best Regards from Portugal.

You are so adorable. I don't mind the chatty aspect because it is like listening to a good friend give style inspiration. I love the dress you are wearing, but at the age of 67, it may not be the right length for me even though I am petite. Love this format. Have a great week.
@styled.bysansha17 күн бұрын
I agree - not everyone will want to wear or feel comfortable in a shorter dress. I have a couple but mostly prefer long dresses!😊❤️

I hate those raggedy, super-short denim cutoffs, they’re always super-popular here in the US. Maybe I’m just tired of them, they’ve been around constantly since I wore them in the 70s as a teenager. I don’t mind a short length, necessarily, but I think most adult women would prefer to wear more sophisticated and polished-looking shorts. I don’t much like those knee-length Bermuda shorts that are trending now, either, they’re an awkward length. I think mid-thigh length is a great guideline for shorts and skirts, it’s one I’ve used most of my life. I do wear shorter ones for my exercise walks, but that’s only because I need* 100% cotton knit shorts and these are so hard to find that I’ll buy any I can find. I need at least six pairs for my daily walks, I don’t want to do laundry more than once a week or for just a couple of pairs of shorts. Water is extremely precious here in California and must be conserved wherever possible, so we only wash full loads of laundry. Of course, I don’t wash all my clothes after just one wearing, but my exercise clothes, underwear and socks, and anything else I might have got sweaty in, I do. *Allergic to plastics, which includes synthetic fiber-fabrics. I can and do wear linen shorts a lot, but all that ironing isn’t practical for exercise clothes and I want the comfort of jersey (knit) fabric.

Yes, those short shorts seem to come back every year! I think they are very much geared towards the younger generations, and I think as one gets older it just feels and looks more sophisticated to go for a longer length short.
