The Chicago Bears on Wednesday unveiled their multi-billion-dollar plan for a new domed lakefront stadium, including added green space on the Museum Campus.

Sofi stadium in LA cost over 5 billion dollars to build, so if the Bears can build a new stadium for 3.2 billion that is not a bad deal. Warren was behind the building of the Vikings new stadium that was paid off 20 years early. I think the Bears actually have the right guy for the job this time.

I thought the same thing. Soldier has always been a nightmare to get in and out of. No one also wants to go into dangerous Chicago. Arlington Heights is a way better idea

Pro sports venues NFL, MLB, NBA etc used to be affordable for most everyone. That was long ago. This will just make ticket prices even more out of reach for many folks. Sad what America has become. Not to mention the tax angle which takes money from the poor and middle class dealing with mega crime and property gouging. America has turned into Suckville USA.

Depends. Can Chicago handle $900mil for a stadium? Thats what they’d be in the hook for as the team is spending $2 billion plus another $300 mil from the league.

Big picture, you’re telling tax payers there won’t be hikes when they’ll be responsible for 2.4B alone. On top of the fact that if the hotel portion of the build doesn’t improve its revenue by 5.5% annually, tax payers will cover that cost of regression as well. It’s a lofty price to pay. Think if the bears cover financing costs it’s more feasible
