I remember this episode. Production had to go out and buy two older 1980's Seagrave ladders and make them fully enclosed cabs. They did that cause they couldn't wreck real CFD spare equipment.

They did pretty good on set designs and the action. I liked this behind the scenes of a firefighter show. Since I'm the only one to comment on this video I wonder if anyone other than me will read this comment.

I've been on set for med as an extra and let me tell you it is a lot of fun and so much goes into just one scene. The one episode I went to the shoot for, I probably appeared on screen for a fraction of a second

I’m so sad that the 2 1996 Seagrave Maruaders Truck 81 and Truck 66 got being damaged and destroyed in this episode also the trucks uses different models on it and different lights too

S1 wasn’t the fire truck it was the ambulance crash as shay was involved in it this was after shay was killed of the show (s3)

It’s acting but they use events that occurred years past as an inspiration for their episodes almost every scenes is something that happened to the actual Chicago fire department most of what they use for inspiration The actual event occurred in the 80’s and 90’s

This didn’t actually happen to those actors but they are event that happened in the 80’s and 90’s to real Chicago fire department which the use as inspiration so it isn’t real but it’s based on something real but manipulated for the screen

Tv shows they are using cfd Riggs and using events that actually occurred to To real Chicago fire department years and years ago but the way they are filmed aren’t realistic like the true event they are based off of
