Nice models, I've never seen these before. You could even modify them to run on your outside third rail, and it would still be prototypical... 😉

Building a Cub Scout " Pinewood Derby " car or the wood rocket with a propeller, as well as kits by Strombecker, would have been good for training & preparation to build model train craftsman kits! Maybe some electrical contact cleaner that is used for switches & potentiometers would work good for the shoes on the trolley poles?

Great video! These remind me of Walt Hulsewder's Old and Rare column in O Gauge RR. Any chance you knew him? And always great to catch a glimpse of your Delta Lines buildings.

Some great specimens of O gauge interurban modelling, the real pole pickup is something else! Neat that they're directionally wired to prevent the operator from accidentally pushing the pole. North Shore cars are pretty handsome, the observation and the other car seem to be painted in a more South Shore esque color scheme, is there a story behind that?

The orange color is their earlier paint scheme about 1940 they switched to the green
@northshoreline6704 Жыл бұрын
@@vintage-model-trains The orange/maroon paint scheme lasted from 1926 to 1938. After that was a three-tone green/gray/red paint scheme. In 1950, that was simplified into the two-tone "economy" green/red scheme on your model here.
