This is my kind of city. It has a peaceful small town vibe but within easy access of a modern big city downtown area.

The neighborhoods around this area of Chicago are so beautiful and peaceful. The only thing that I always wonder, and forgive me if this is a dumb question because I'm not from there, but are the sidewalks always so empty? I have watched videos all around North Chicago and outside of Wrigleyville during games and when people are out for special events, it always feels like there aren't many people walking. It may just be me because I'm more used to NYC, which EVERY other city feels empty compared to lol. But I do really love the Lincoln Park area, it's very nice and clean, and the houses are gorgeous.

This video was taken in 2021 and the city was definitely more empty than usual. But even so, I would say the streets in Chicago are much less crowded than NYC, especially more in the neighborhoods. Thanks so much for checking out the video!

The house at 56:12 listing price is $45 million. It's the most expensive house in the whole state of Illinois, from what I know.

@@chandrakapoor7807 It's literally $45 million. Not sure where you live where a mansion like this would cost $5 million. The location plays a part, it's one of the richest neighborhoods in Chicago. Also, the inside of a lot of homes here in Chicago are bigger than what it looks like on the outside.

@@chandrakapoor7807 You're mad at the wrong person. I never said I agreed on the price, just stating the facts of WHY it's so highly priced. In CHICAGO, because that's how things work here, the location is a factor on the pricing. If you live in a more well off neighborhood it's going to be more pricey due to the low amount of crime and the abundance of resources available to the community. If you live in a less well off neighborhood the pricing is going to be more cheaper due to there typically being higher crime and less resources. So maybe YOU should check YOUR facts before you get butt hurt over... whatever it is that you're mad at me for.

Im still confused as to why you're mad at ME. First off, I didn't make the price, I just stated it because I know for a fact that it was listed for $45 million. Secondly, In Chicago, which is where I was born and raised and still currently live in, the location does affect the price. I don't know what yall do in California and I don't care. This is how things are in Chicago. And lastly, it takes a quick search to prove that the house shown actually did have a listing of $45 million. Any other issues you have you can take it up with our governor, not me.

@@CityWalkerMT theres such a shortage of hyde-park-related walks on youtube, its sad because its a stately area btw, you are my fave chicago area walker. i like how you hold the camera steadily, at about head level, and the lack of music or narration makes you feel like you are there. Luis gusto reminds me of a cult leader for some reason

that’s why i’m moving there! I love mild summers and frigid winters with lots of snow, gives me an excuse to stay inside for 3 months :) nyc weather is absolutely terrible all year round.
