The morning rush is about to die down as Metra 1250 glides into Downers Grove Main Street. As they were pulling away, Amtrak Carl Sandburg 381 blasts by towards Quincy, MO.

Andrew and Colin joined me just in time for everyone's favorite, the R-CHI452. I noticed the lead unit was Ex. BN and as it got closer I realized the experimental one of a kind "pill" unit was leading. One hopper was in tow for Pepperidge Farm today.

I remember my first acquaintance with the "Race Track" was from a VHS tape called "Chicago Rails". And "Dangers on the Rails". At that time, the Racetrack was under ownership of the BN Corporation. This video, the one I'm seeing right now, easily tells me what's happened in that area now. :)

GREAT video, although it would have been nice to see the BNSF local perform all of the switching maneuvers when working Pepperidge Farm. Very nice video though!
