Severide's father Benny (guest star Treat Williams) returns to Chicago and meets Anna. Also, Dawson and Brett are dealt with a new trainee and Hermann loses his temper when he finds out that his son, Lee Henry was suspended from School after he refused to stand for the Pledge of Allegiance because he didn't like how the school raised their vending machine prices.

As the widow of a professional firefighter I just love this show firefighters really are like that people need to understand what wonderful people they really are firefighting is not a job it is a way of life never take them for granted

@@patriciasanders2942 every firefighter I've ever met, on the street, at fire drills, (my highschool was right next to a fire department. We usually saw them at the restaurants a few blocks down on our lunches.) Has been nice, polite, and genuinely seem like amazing people. I'm sure your husband was an amazing man, and I hope you had many lovely happy years together. I'm sorry for your loss ❤

Thank you for sharing his name, and your story. And may he be remembered for being one of the quiet heroes that walk amongst us.

Mate you have to understand how many cases police have to go through also meds and fire are also meant to be reasonably well trained in all situations whether it actually has to do with their field

Police have more restraints due to protocol, patrol guidelines, laws, acts etc. Firefighters, as many can agree, aren't constrained by the same as they don't enforce the law nor are sworn to do so.

In this situation they were more open with the firefighters because they were afraid of getting the police involved since they’re scared of her going to jail.

Honestly just about every person in the Chicago-verse is a better human being than the Chicago PD cast. Most of the time they're ignoring police protocol, brutalising witnesses, discharging firearms negligently, and on multiple occasions breaking the law themselves even to the point of murder. Watching it with any amount of knowledge of actual police procedure is painful.

This show makes me wanna be a firefighter. The action, the people you help, the family you have. The loss and trauma you suffer is part of the deal but I'm def gonna considder it!!!

They had a young child in the house and she was involved in drugs. She could have been aggressive whilst under the influence, so it's understandable why they felt the need to kick her out, even if it was ultimately the wrong decision to make.
