Severide (guest star Taylor Kinney) is brought into the District for questioning after his car is found to have caused a deadly crash. As the investigation gets underway, the team works to uncover a group of car-jackers who may be the key to Severide's innocence. Meanwhile, Voight (Jason Beghe) pairs Burgess (Marina Squerciati) with Olinsky (Elias Koteas), who has a hard time feigning his excitement about this new partnership, and Lindsay (Sophia Bush) considers meeting her estranged father who is now out of prison. Also starring Jesse Lee Soffer, Patrick John Flueger, LaRoyce Hawkins and Amy Morton. Guest starring Jesse Spencer, Christian Stolte and Sasha Smith.

no he never had an alibi. he was actually sent to jail for a brief stint (less than 24hrs) before intelligence was able to solve it. his car was part of a hijacking/car trafficking ring and after he came out of the bar he was hit in the head as part of the hijacking which is why he blacked out. the hijacker was going 70mph+ in a 30 zone and bailed after the wreck.

no his car was involved in a hit and run that killed 1 and nearly killed another, of course he is the first suspect

I mean, there are firefighters who are also arsonists, serial killers, r@pisty, etc. Severide was innocent and being a firefighter is amazing, but it doesn't mean you can't do anything illegal. Severide was obviously the first suspect and it's good they didn't treat him like a Saint who couldn't possibly do this, because that's how you let guilty people walk free.

Us law different to UK. US actually calls it what it is, and sets sentence accordingly.
