Chicken Empanada is a stuffed pastry or piece of bread stuffed with a mixture of chicken and other delicious ingredients. Empanadas are usually deep fried, but this Filipino Chicken Empanada makes use of the oven.
Other versions of empanadas aside from Chicken empanadas are: beef empanadas, potato empanadas, and pork empanadas. This dish is different from the Ilocano empanada, which makes use of orange-colored dough. Empanadas in the northern part of the Ilocos are different. These usually have tasty fillings with mung beans, sausage, green papaya, and egg. It also has a crisp dough.

Even though I couldn't follow the language you were speaking, it was at least considerate of you to have bits and pieces of English in your video as well. I appreciate it :) I also adore the fact that it's well to the point and easy to follow. I tried making my first batch of empanadas for the first time last night at work. All of my clients seemed to really like it, including my manager. Lol. I came onto youtube today to make sure I had followed the right way to cook and bake these goodies!

Thank you for making these videos. It is true that they can be a little difficult to understand just by only listening. However WITH the video it is very EASY to follow. Your format is very clear. The recipes make my mouth water! I am anxious to try the ones I have downloaded. Thank you again!!. p.s. When I lived in Angeles City as a a Air Force brat, our maid Ida C. Carino used to make us a Filipino Rice dish that my mother has been making for almost 60 years. Can you post one?

Made these two days ago and they were excellent. The only changes I made were not using raisins and using pie crust and biscuit dough for the outer crust to save time. Thankyou so much.

i'd love to try this. everytime i want to collect, browse or plan to do a certain recipe, dito ako pumupunta. then i take down notes, para by the time na gagawa ako, it's easy to check if tama ba ang steps ko. i'm a BIG fan of empanada! missed it so much. salamat sa recipe na ito!
