This dish is from Kerala and not from Tamil Nadu. It would have become popular in Tamil Nadu as well but the origin is from Kerala. Kizhi is a malayalam word.

I think Kizhi porota is basically from kerala❤️... Its called kizhi porotta because it looks like bundle of herbs used for ayurveda treatment (in kerala ,we call it kizhi)😊 And when pronouncing "kizhi", we give stress to z . Ki"zhi"..and not kili Kili means bird and kizhi means buddle of herbs😊
