This chicken liver dish perfectly combines the flavors of tender fried liver, caramelized onions and juicy sweet and sour apple! The liver cooked in this way is soft and juicy. This is a great option for a light and healthy meal for the whole family!

INGREDIENTS:
Chicken liver - 1 kg.;
Apple - 2 pieces (450 grams);
Onions - 1 piece (160 grams);
Chicken broth - 150 ml.;
Cream 30% - 50 ml.;
Flour - 2 tsp;
Butter - 50 grams;
Vegetable oil - 2-3 tbsp. spoons;
Sugar - ¼ tsp;
Salt and pepper to taste.
COOKING:
1. Wash the chicken liver, dry it, remove the connecting films and fat. Cut into medium pieces.
2. Cut the onion into half rings.
3. Peel and seed apples and cut into 1.5 centimeters cubes.
4. Heat vegetable oil in a skillet. Fry the liver over high heat until golden brown. If the pan is not large, fry in portions. Transfer to a dish.
5. Wipe the frying pan after cooking the liver, heat the butter and sauté the onion over medium heat for 3-4 minutes, add the apples and cook for another 3-5 minutes, stirring occasionally.
6. Pour in flour, pour in broth (water) and stir so that there are no lumps. Simmer on low heat for about 2 minutes.
7. Add the liver to the sautéed onion and apple, season with sugar and spices, stir, cover and cook over low heat for 7-8 minutes.
8. Finally, pour in the cream and bring to a boil. Remove from heat.
9. Put the cooked liver with apples on plates, if desired, season with chopped herbs and can be served either as an independent dish or as a side dish for mashed potatoes, cereals and pasta.
