Hello Kent, So you have some viewers that are questioning the Spanish recipes??? Well from my side of the 65” TV, ... I don’t care if you’re making Polish Potatoe pancakes, German liver sausage or Mexican quesadillas!!! If it smells good, looks good and I can fit it in my mouth, ... next stop is my stomach!!! Great recipe and I wish I could have been the beagle!!! I’d wag my tail for some of that goodness!!! Take care and wishing you all the best!!! Art

Not to quibble, but Spanish cuisine is from Spain; Mexican cuisine is from Mexico. As someone who has been to both countries, I can say that they don't have much in common, but are both (in my opinion) delicious!

I've learned to cook from people of every color (even some shades of pink!) from Texas to Mexico the long way around. East Coast, West Coast, Gulf Coast, Louisiana, all across Europe, Japan, China, Vietnam, India and some I never knew where they was from! And if them little green men show up with some groceries, I'll try what they're having! I've eaten everything from Avocado to durn near Zebra and it's all good! I do tend to lean towards Cajun, Creole and Soul Food, but variety is the spice of Life! Living in a tourist trap does have some advantages! I appreciate you and Shannon, Kent. Leeloo Dallas a meal and is made up of 3 parts 1. Food &. Drink 2. Location, location, location 3. Company Each area must be good, there is no point in investing in good food &/or drink, if the company is crap. You need good company to accompanying good food. The guests should bring good stories, good conversation.

Thank you for giving a shoutout to the Mexican influence, to Western cuisine. The two are almost interchangeable, and what a lot of folks don't know is, true Mexican food did not use onions, garlic, tomatoes, or lettuce as much, prior to about 1960, as they do today. That is the American influence on their cuisine. Good is good, and great cooks the world over blatantly steal from one another, to put great food in front of their families.

Hey Kent THANK YOU!!! As long as you keep making South of the Border grub, I'll keep watchin'! I get you on the comment about a Cowboy making Mexican food? I'm not German, but as a past chef, I spent a lot of time making and teaching Pennsylvania Dutch (German) food. Some of isn't my favorite, but I can make it all. Thanks again for keeping Old Glory wavin' over the Chuck Wagon for us vets. I certainly appreciate it, as I'm sure do all the rest! All my best to Shannon and the Beagle. Keep those videos coming. Do you have any ( dare I say it) vegetarian dishes. I don't care much for meat. I do eat a little to keep up my protein intake, but it's difficult to enjoy it. God bless: Stoney

My parents are from Guadalajara, Jalisco. I come from a family of ten, not including parents. My Moms idea of chicken tortilla soup was making basic chicken soup, no veggies, and serving the bowl with 3 warmed corn tortillas into the bowl. I was the only one with the tortillas in the bowl, with a wing. When I grew up, I commented to my Mom, and she said, "you are raising false info against me". I thought it was the funniest of her comments! I miss my Mama...RIP. P.S I appreciated your recipe, gotta try this on my cheat day!

See I am one of the guilty people that threw in like 5 different cans and I did boil my chicken beasts and used that broth and added tortillas but NEVER thought to fry them!!! My husband and I love this the red sauce and I've never made it.... YOU Sir just taught me a fine lesson and I'm EXCITED to make my own red sauce and make this soup your way! I'm with ya on the black beans yum 😋 yum!! Thank you!!!! Ya know It doesn't matter if your a cowboy ( I love me some cowboys, I married one!) It's your LOVE for food , and cooking it amd sharing it with us is definitely a bonus for us ALL no doubt about it!! Your right doesnt matter who's around the dinner table, if you cook they will come! My parent's ALWAYS said that and did that .... For if they knew someone didnt have a meal or would be alone on holidays they had them at our table for all the years i can remember.... I'm Thankful they did and showed us 5 kid's that's what life's about... giving and sharing and caring... plus you meet alot fine folks that way..... I still run into folks that remember my moma and daddy doing that for them and how much they miss my parents too... thing's I didn't know they did for folks like taking them groceries and paying an electric bill etc .... it warms my heart .... they were not rich but rather humble and just helped out when they could ... Very good life lessons for us kid's!! God bless you all Mr.Kent and again Thank you for sharing this fine looking recipe.... can't wait to try it !! Have a blessed day!

Haha! Frogs butt joke, whistlin' and the beagle comes runnin', and how to make the fried tortilla strips so they don't come out all limp and soggy like in typical mexican restaurants! Also, thank you for using a lav mic! The audio is so much more intelligible! Thank you once again for providing one of the happiest 13mins of my week!!

I'd like to say that the food brought me here to your channel. But I also believe that God brought me here as well. I love to cook and well, I love to eat too. You have tons of videos that I'll be looking at in the near future. Lots of learning to do through your videos. I will definitely try as many as possible. A sure way to cook for myself and anyone that loves food. Your enthusiasm while cooking is amazing. Very inspiring I might add. Our God does amazing things and bringing me to your channel, well, I believe is for that reason. Needing the inspiration. To get back to my roots and humble myself. I thank you for this my brother in Christ. Continued success with these videos and spreading the love of food to all. You have a fan here. Thanks again. God bless. Frankie G.

Texas and Mexico are tied at the hip. If you don't like brown or black folks for some weird reason, that's a problem you might want to deal with, because you're really missing out an a whole lot of great food and culture. A few months ago I went to a friends' son's 8th birthday party and his son taught me how to dab. His friends were hysterically laughing at a beardo dad-guy trying to cop a pose. What is life if you can't make children laugh. We're all of the same stock. There's no need to care about color variation. It seems like arbitrary nonsense to me.
