Chiefs news and rumors on today’s show are coming from ESPN’s Jeremy Fowler who believes that Kansas City Chiefs WR Rashee Rice might go the whole 2024 NFL season avoiding a suspension. Rashee Rice was involved in a car accident in the spring and has since turned himself in. Also, NFL Network’s Chad Reuter has high hopes for 2024 NFL first round draft pick Xavier Worthy. Worthy has made his 2024 All-Rookie team.

“This is a lengthy legal process, which means he could start the season, actually play games or finish the whole year, because the league likes to see the full scope of things before they make a decision on how many games a player might face, we saw that with Alvin Kamara a couple of years ago when he had his battery charges. He played the whole year then was suspended for the next year. So that is a possibility that the Chiefs are bracing for here, they just don’t know.”

Only way it's even possible is if Brown goes down for a long time. Reid has already said Worthy is gonna be the kick returner for his rookie season & pop in on offense here & there. Veach has said he wants Worthy up to 180 lbs & Brown is on a 1 year deal. Looks like they have it set up for him to play sparingly while he adds weight & then will take Browns role in '25 when he can take the punishment. Lotta fantasy people are gonna be disappointed with Worthy this coming season lol.... again unless Brown goes down for a long time. And honestly that's very possible. The last 2 seasons Brown's had issues with an old heel/foot injury from his last year in college..... then hurt it again his rookie season..... then had surgery on it the offseason after his rookie season.

As funny as this may be, if Worthy went to a team where he was the true number 1, I don't think he is anywhere close to the All rookie team. Because he's on the chiefs, with all of the chiefs weapons, creativity and Reid/Mahomes appetite to throw the deep ball again, I can really see him blowing up while also not getting a lot of touches this year. He could easily get 60 catches for 1k yards with a few touchdowns, not including rushing plays.
