Kansas City Chiefs Rumors are swirling around WR’s Kadarius Toney and Skyy Moore. Nate Taylor of the Athletic wrote that both Kadarius Toney and Skyy Moore could be on the trade block for Andy Reid and the Kansas City Chiefs. Who do you think is most likely to be dealt by the time the season rolls around? Getting rid of both of them would create a decent bit of cap space for the Chiefs, now it’s all up to Brett Veach to decide if not even Patrick Mahomes can save the careers of these two receivers.

The Athletic’s Nate Taylor:
“Toney, though, needs to demonstrate consistency in camp and the preseason to secure his roster spot.If he doesn’t do well in camp, Toney could be a candidate to be traded ahead of Aug. 27, the NFL’s annual cutdown date. If Toney is traded, that would create $2.5 million in salary-cap space for the Chiefs with no dead money, according to Over the Cap.”

“Moore is likely to compete with Toney for regular-season snaps if both players make the initial roster. If Moore is released or traded on cutdown day, it would create $1.29 million in salary-cap space for the Chiefs with less than $500,000 in dead money, according to Over the Cap.”

History will also tell you this: For Kadarius Toney, he’s entering his 4th season never hitting 700 yards so there’s less than a 3% chance that he will ever do so. With Skyy Moore, a 2nd Rd pick entering his 3rd season, there is less than a 5% chance he’d have 700 yards for the first time. If not this year he’ll never achieve it. The chances for a 2nd rd pick entering their 3rd year player to have 700 yards for the first time would be 22% but he’s under 6’ feet tall and not a speedster. Some examples of sub 6’0 guys having a 700+ yard season since 2016 are Tyreek Hill(2nd year), Hollywood Brown(2nd year) and Jaylen Waddle(1st year). Notice they all did it within their initial 3 seasons. Jordan Addison, Tank Dell, Josh Downs and Zay Flowers; all under 6 foot all achieved 700 yards in their rookie year as well. All we have to do is ask ourselves if Skyy Moores name belongs with this group of guys

I personally think we need to give them both another chance. Toney was the one who helped a big time in Super Bowl 57, and we know he’s got what it takes. Moore is still young and getting used to the professional league. Once he finds his rhythm, he’ll let us know why he was a first round pick

If rice gets suspended then who is gonna be his backup bc he is wr1 so they need someone to fill in if rice gets suspended like if Toney can get catch the football and rebuilds the connection with Mahomes then he should be good but hardmend is probably gonna be a starter then if you really think about it it’s gonna be the league of zoom 3.0

Hopefully they can trade them vs cutting and getting nothing. Moore might benefit from the practice squad to work on the playbook and be a call up if needed due to injuries.

I still say give toney a chance. The guy has so much talent and he is cheap 1 more year. Sky moore has always looked like he is a typical division 2 player that just can't play at this level. At least the way the chiefs have used him. He didn't know how to help mahomes when the play breaks down and he didn't go get the ball when surrounded he would wait for it to get to him and unless you are wide open it gets knocked down or worse! If we could put his heart in toneys body...
