Turret full of cordite farts, a BV that over boil's and burns your fucking leg, and charge bins full of beer, followed by the ten man ration packs that taste of shite....Happy days

Nice Job !! Apparently the power plant was a modified aero engine designed by the hun , but when running sweetly she makes a scary noise ! Thankyou good narration 👍👍👍👍👍👍👍 Defo worth a cold one !!

I’m told that being in a Chieftain tank was the safest place to be in wartime because it would usually break down long before it got anywhere near the enemy. Good old British Leyland engines.

RH took over from the 4th./7th. at Athlone Barracks in 73 and what a bloody mess they left us, UEI was a nightmare.

Hell with his as your TC! Good thing about the chieftain as a loader was ability to lap load! Mk12 with Togs this was the last mk before project was cancelled for challenger 1! Miss the blue smoke that belched out these with the multi fuel Leyland engine! Disaster lol

You have to understand the difference between dragoons, i.e Yorkshire and Lancastrian thugs with pistols, blunderbusses and knives. In contrast to the real cavalry from Warwickshire and the West Midlands charging at you at great speed with nothing but sabres! Huzzar!

Zapata 935 why slate the 4/7th RDG i know you are an ex member of the Queens own hussars and you probably know I’m ex 4/7th so basically we were in the same army with the same sort of roll to play the only difference is that you were in another regiment so as one veteran to another chill out.

I have a question, as Britain used the Challenger 1 in the gulf war in 1991, why is this demonstration of the chieftain taking place in the same year, seeing as the British army mbt was at that point the challenger 1?

Transition period for us before we were equipped with Challenger 1, we stripped our old Chieftain’s down to the bare bones and repainted and repaired them ready for them to be handed over. We moved from our barracks in Detmold Germany to Paderborn in Germany and amalgamated with the 5th inniskilling dragoon guards, we were then called the Royal Dragoon Guards. Hope this helps...

Hardly. Most of the pilots were British, ALL of the ground crew (as in 90%+), mechanics, LofC troops, radar operators, HQ staff and aircraft themselves were British. Just be happy that your lot contributed without attempting to degenerate what was a BRITISH victory.
