⁠that’s just the Mishima’s basically with their 50/50s and oki setups. I don’t think they’re necessarily bad but there is a LOT of conditioning and risk that I think makes you hesitate more during a tournament as compared to playing online or for fun. Honestly I think Mishima’s thrive when you just say fuck it and go ham with the sweeps and launchers 😅. Tekken 8 is all about gambling at this point anyways with the new system.

Having used Lili to win against Qudans' Devil Jin, your opinion is completely correct

He does play a very safe style and doesn't really rely on the new gimmicks that Devil Jin was given in this game. Though I think that the way he plays COULD be the most optimal way to play him in a tournament setting. I'm not a pro though and just based on my observations. Until we see more Devil Jins in tournament settings to disprove that then this may be a showcase of how unviable DJ is in this game. Knee also seemed to not place much pressure with Bryan in his matches, playing more passive like Qudans.

@@user-xh4tg9nw3d I think the only real nerfs he did need were the fix for the floor break bug which netted him broken damage, his homing heat smash, and his mourning crow 1 being basically impossible to side step. The rest of the nerfs like reduced hellweep range, heavens gate ender being reduced to 1-2 damage as an ender (affected Kazuya too), and his staple easy hell sweep combo doing 9 less damage should be reverted. He would be perfect at that point. Bamco needed to relax on the nerfs for him and should have focused on Azucena, Drag, Feng, and Victor for absolute sure. But hey, they want their new characters and Feng to be simple AND powerful for some reason.

Mishimas will always find a way. The worst they have been but Jin and Reina are very good. Kazuya and DJ just need a few adjustments in terms of hitboxes and glitches.
