Haha me at 12: I’ve never had over 20 dollars for more than a month without buying bait, rods, reels, line or lures. When my mom asked how much I spent in a tackle shop or bass pro, the only logical answer is yes. I can’t even count how many thousands I’ve spent on tackle. I do however have close to 3 grand in rods and reel alone that are used daily

Those kids seem happy as hell. They don’t have terrible parents. Even the grandparents are there. This is a healthy functional nuclear family. The fishing lures are a great investment. So is the house addition. This young man might send his child or grandchild to college by liquidating this asset or using it as collateral. Fishing lures often become antiques and increase in value. Right now it’s fun and later they can learn about investing.

If you watch my channel today you will see I'm huge vinyl/music collector, but back when I was a poor kid living in the projects I use to be (and still am) very fascinated with airplanes. So since I was bused across town to school it use to take 45 minutes for our bus to arrive so the art teacher would let a couple of us sit in the art room. I use to cut out pictures of airplanes out of magazines and take them home. After my collection grew my mom bought me 2x 99cent pieces of poster board and some Elmer's Glue and I pasted all my pics and hung it over my bed. Adding to it all the time. NEVER had felt so proud up to that time lol. Made me feel so good seeing their parents support them him because that meant the world to me back then..

I can, I’ve caught and people on our boat have caught 5 foot long sharks on #2 eagle claw bait holder and gamakatsu baitholder hooks. I’ve also caught croaker on 5/0 circle hooks fishing for bull redfish, so any fish can get hooked by any hook

the only lures anyone should keep for a collection are ones that are retired. nothing better than keeping old sqaurebills and lipless cranks with teeth marks and missing paint in a collection to hang on to. lots of good memories to make and keep that way.
