Child Struggling With Reading? This Is Why (& What To Do)

Often the difference between a child becoming a successful independent reader, or alternatively being unable to read at all, is actually very small. In my experience, 90% of the children aged 4-6 that get stuck with early reading, find this one skill to be the obstacle in the way.
I highlight what the skill is, and then show 4 fun games to help address the problem.

Brilliant! Thank you so much, I have just started teaching in reception and have a few children who struggle with blending. Will implement some of these next week.

Is this a problem my daughter has this issue and I get super stressed out about it … she’s failing reading and math she does not want to read and makes up words 😢
