Sorry for the delay on this video. I finally found a nice editor to use to combine clips. When we arrived at Children’s (because I had to take allergy shots), I saw the strobes flashing through the cafeteria window, so that’s when I started recording. Obviously, I look like a weirdo recording these alarms, but it’s hobby I enjoy. Hope y’all enjoy this video!

This is private mode signaling meant to tell staff what zone or area to go to in order to help the patients. A defend in place occupancy such as this has plans to drag all the patients out of the fire area to the other side of fire/ smoke barrier doors. The chime has different requirements for that reason, it’s low key just for personnel.

No actually only this hospital does this or have this feature because when I was staying at another building they would use the fire alarm because they don’t have regular speakers so they say all of the codes through the fire alarm. In example the children’s hospital it the heart of Ohio (nationwide children’s) they only have a chime. And they would say code red over the intercom

@@JayForeman-iw1zy Dublin Methodist (OH) has full on horn strobes. It sounded twice (once at 2am) when we delivered my son there.

My hospital doesnt have chimes, they have true alerts. Pretty neat to see chime and voice evac.

I work in the main campus and the have the same alarms and sound but they also say the building Letter and the floor.

Funny after the alarm is off they evacuate. Would've been a real icing on the cake if the fire department showed up as you were exciting.

Do you know what kind of system is in that hospital? The speaker strobes are Gentex but those can be used on just about anything.

They have these instead of horn strobes so that it doesn’t cause panic, such as giving a patient a heart attack, or so that a surgeon doing surgery doesn’t get startled, and because it’s a high rise building.

@@Jimmy06blue true that. However, that’s not always avoidable, especially in schools. I go to a special education school because I am on the autism spectrum. But any school in general can be loud with everyone talking at once. Fire alarms also need to be at least 15 decibels above the standard volume level of a building. However, I do agree that they should get rid of horn strobes in schools. Maybe they can consider speaker strobes to where it’s not too loud, but loud enough to get everyone’s attention.

Either a false alarm, malfunction, or it was real. At least it says where the activation occurred. Makes it easier for nurses or doctors to track down whether it's real or not. Got use to code reds when I did clinicals. The key thing is patient safety, and we learn pretty quick if it's real because some patients can't move and need to be wheeled out.

Feueralarm, der Filmer muss ungedingt in dieses Kinderkrankenhaus, und nutzt bei 01:57min auch noch den Aufzug???😳 Wieso geht man in ein Gebäude wo Feueralarm ist und nutzt den Aufzug nach oben? Ist der Filmer ein Ersthelfer?...kann eigentlich nicht sein, dann hätte er die Treppe genutzt! WAS wollte er dort überhaupt, ein paar tolle Videos machen? Er hat sich in Gefahr gebracht, und viel schlimmer, die Kinder und alle anderen im Gebäude! Hätte er nämlich gerettet werden müssen, fehlten woanders die Rettungskräfte. Sowas ist unverantwortlich, egoistisch, fast schon vorsätzliches Gefährden dritter Personen und sowieso einfach nur DUMM!!! Es ist unbegreiflich, dann auch noch das Video hochzuladen!!!! Sie sollten sich Schämen!...für ein paar Videos das eigene und das Leben anderer gefährden...🤢🤮 Ich finde keine Worte dafür, wie abscheulich dieses Verhalten ist!!! Ich lege Ihnen Nahe dieses Video zu löschen, andernfalls werde ich dies veranlassen!
