Their problem was, that they all went at the same time. When they all reached the middle, their combined weight pulled the line so low that they didn't have enough momentum to make it up the other side. They should have gone one at a time. LMAO! Maybe they should include a class on the Laws of Physics in SWAT training?

Good point. First woman over should also have held on to her hook for a bit longer, to keep rope pulled down. #2 team member almost made it, once she was thwarted #5 fell off, so rope was higher. At that stage they're fighting physics, biology and poor technique.

Bad coordination, they got in each other's way which slowed down their momentum... But the worst was the reaction to this first failure: the team fell apart instead of starting again together.

a while back, to see if there was any difference in capabilities the US marines did combat testing of all female and all male units.. the females came last in getting to the combat, actual engagement of targets and in evacuating injured in team.. also men have more of the receptors in their eyes to see movement so are technically better equipped visually to deal with combat situations (which the met police might have wanted to know when sued by fenale member when they said she needed a male colleague to be with her)

I joined the specialist firearms unit of a county force that shall remain nameless about 20 years ago.They were told they needed to recruit a female officer into the unit. 2 passed the initial sift and got onto the course. One could shoot, but couldn’t pass the requisite stress runs before the shoots, one could pass the stress runs but her shooting wasn’t up to scratch. Net result they changed the stress run times so the first could pass. I moved forces.

Looked up some replays of this event. On normal runs the camera barely films the zip line part because it happens so fast. It’s just a step to getting to the actual challenge.

This is spectacularly fantastic - absolute proof that men and women are just so different and intended for different roles within society. Women aren’t meant to be combat soldiers, elite SWAT police officers, shouldn’t work on the street as a cop in a known violent suburb and probably shouldn’t be street cops at all. Men probably shouldn’t be child care workers or sexual assault counsellors and a range of other things. It’s not sexist - it’s horses for courses.

There are plenty of women who bring other strengths to the table that flat out overcome the so called “weakness” over “strength” of a man. There are some things men are defiantly better at some that women outdo the men at. I’d much rather have a team of both men and women than all men or all women. That way you get the best of both have to offer. It’s that simple.

They all went together on that zip line. Best IMO was to go with a bit of distance between each of them. That way you can push your teammate, and you could also move freely, without bumping with your teammate. My 2 cents.
