Chili dogs

Tonight we are making Chili Dogs at camp. Using a family recipe handed down to me from a former co-worker for the hot dog chili. To go along with that we are baking tater tots in the Dutch-oven and making a Carolina BBQ Red Slaw.

Amazingly good stuff...chili dogs and tator tots! Been some time since I made a great pot of chili...a great meal to cook and freeze some for later! Have yourselves a great week ahead!

Been a good while since I've made them too, to be honest. Some of the guys in a forum I belong to were talking hot dogs one day, and made me think about making them. Enjoyed the quite a bit, but man is that a big pot of hot dog chili. Have been getting creative using it up. Thanks for watching and for the comments! Hope ya have a good week too!

This is the one I've been waiting for. Cool shirt. Hey you disappeared and came back there must be a glitch in The Matrix what was the aluminum foil on the side of the Dutch oven for? Air space? Man those look good. Really enjoyed the video. Until the next one

Hiya Bob, Yeah, normally I use the alumimum foil shims during storage, just to help keep a little air flow in the oven. I used them here during rhe cooking process so some of the steam and moisture could release while cooking. Was wanting to get the tots a little crispier. Thanks for checking out my vid.
