Our nominated charity is' it's in the Bag' a Testicular cancer awareness charity. itsinthebag.org...
They provide hands-on support for men with testicular cancer in the South-West of the UK, as well as raising awareness of the disease across the region and beyond.

Our Foundation hosted one here in The Philippines on Monday. It was such fun. Clifton was the first one I watched some years ago, and it got me in to growing super hots.

Once again it's mostly the quantity of peppers eaten before they get to the really hot peppers that does in most of the contestants but fun to watch anyway.

I just kept looking at the milk, is it chilled I kept thinking, reminded me of the joy of seeing the milk crate in infants school...looks creamy, I would have taken it on the first chilli...😋😋

Great chilli and we do like to mix up our chillies when we can, as you know it's down to what is available at the time and then the heat levels etc. Cheers Chris and yeah defo a nice gentle fleshy chilli.

I wonder if being in the full sun influenced those that quit early? I'm thinking they were getting roasted on the outside and burned on the inside LOL : ) Either way, it's a joy of mine to see these contests, they're so much fun to watch~!

Yeah it's a possibility as at also at a food festival a number of the contestants had a great day trying and buying lots of other food products so a few where a little full. Great fun though and a great day.🌶👍😁

Wait, in previous contests even if the 2nd to last person quit out the last person had to finish the next pepper no? I thought that's what happened anyways, I might be thinking of another contest entirely though who knows. I'm old lol Also, the one time I ate a superhot (7 pot strain I think it was) I nearly died afterwards, so no hate to anyone who does these contests as it isn't easy. Well, unless you are Johnny Scoville :D

You'll need to check there social media as we just run the comps as you see, they do attend other eating comps as there are alot held in the UK. We hope this helps out?🌶👍😁

@@CliftonChilliClub of course I love your channel loads just started my largest chilli and pepper grow this year, I've grown for last couple of years but this year gone full out with around 60-65 plants I just wish I had a greenhouse hopefully soon but they are all thriving and starting to flower, keep up the great videos

Hi we didn't get to the Carolina Reaper round, we still had a few more rounds to go. However as you see in the vid we had a winner before we got to that stage. Hope this helps to answer your question?🌶👍🙂

What happens, if some contestants chew the chilis and seeds right down to smallest bits, and some other contestants just faking optimize by swallowing the largest possible pieces unchewed, just chewing air for fake? Or when one chili turns out to be much spicier than the other "of the same type, size and color"? Let's make it more fair...! You have all this produce.. You present it for everybody. Then you put it into the blender/grinder in front of everybody, and make all the gold available nicely in a juice... And then have them drink the juice, slowly, drop by drop... For each round, each type of hotness level... If I always had such nice produce for making chili sauce..........🙂

Hi Roland, if we made it just a mash and they eat/drink that it's not as visual as you see here. Yeah we know there can be a variation of heat from pod to pod however again this is just part of this type of comp and is accepted. We see what your saying and understand the angle you are coming from however there is no official way to run a comp and as ex competitive eaters ourselves we feel this is a good way to run our comps. @@CliftonChilliClub Well, having the real, fresh produce introduced to everybody at first, is definitely important. That is even more important, because your produce is fantastic. You can not just present some blended mixture to the people, you must do it in front of them (or not, if you choose otherwise). Anyways..., I am more interested in Capsaicin being a (pretty good, or even addictive) drug, than for some people trying to fake a bigger tolerance for it, than others... That does not mean, my own tolerance is very big, and the produce of my own plants is rather prudent, as yet, this year.. For me, its a valuable resource..., not something that people just can "tolerate it".
