This is a slightly longer edit than we usually produce but we wanted for you to witness and experience some more of what takes place at this epic competition. We've left in the contestants dilemmas, battles with the burn/pain, showmanship, showboating and more.
Taking place in Bristol at the mighty Grillstock festival, this is one of our biggest & most exciting chili eating competitions of the year! We hope you enjoy

Wow that was indeed epic - some of those bad boys were HUGE! I couldn’t make it this year as it was my father-in-law’s 70th birthday lunch (fantastic food but no chillies!) Hopefully I’ll be able to attend next year to defend my 2015 Grillstock title. :)

Yes. A few years ago a guy refused to make himself sick after coming third. He was a little arrogant & refused to take advice from us. Come 2am, he was in hospital using a morphine drip for the pain.

Wow CCC really pulled out the big guns for this competition - these guys roasted in the 1 million + oven for an eternity. I kept expecting to see The Intimidator pop up as the last chilli but it just went on and on. Sad to see the lady ( I couldn't read her name card ) didn't win ... she had won once in the past so I figured she had this in the bag, but nope : (
