The vinyl record of the Classic "Chilling,, Thrilling Sounds of the Haunted House."
First released in 1963 (with a white record sleeve) by Disneyland Records (now Walt Disney Records), and then re-released in 1973 (with an orange record sleeve).
It became a certified Gold Record by the RIAA on 12/7/1972.
Cover painted by Paul Wenzel as a concept for The Haunted Mansion attraction.

What you are playing here is actually the sequel album to the one mentioned in the description- released in 1979. Interestingly, this sequel is much harder to come by, so I really appreciate being able to hear it. I love your ambient setup!

Always thought that rumbling sound with the piano @24:45 was creepy as hell! It’d go perfectly over that camera/demon rushing through the forest scene in Evil Dead or little vampire Ralphie Glick scratching at the window in Salem’s Lot!

Thanks for taking the time to put this together. It's greatly appreciated. The ornament to the right, It has a Jack Skellington type face, so it can't be true vintage? I'd appreciate some info on it if that's possible. Many thanks in advance. The one in the green dress is super cool also....love the vintage vibe!

Hi! I think I got those from a flea market on a strip of highway between Charlottesville, VA. and D.C. that had probably a hundred flea markets over a few miles. I could have spent my life savings on vintage Hallowed decorations from that area. The vintage, stuffed pumpkin creature in the background was from the same stretch of markets.
