Thank you for this comment! I will definitely be adding to my channel regularly, and will be working my way around to addressing most if not all of the above! Within the next couple of weeks, I expect to be making some neighborhood specific videos - I will be sure to include some information to note for first time home buyers. Where abouts in the US are you moving from? Chilliwack is absolutely gorgeous - can’t go wrong! But of course, I’m biased ;)

@@realestatewithdeanna I'm moving from Issaquah, Washington state, so not far away. Issaquah is soooo similar to Chilliwack, coincidently if you check google maps, Issaquah is exact south of Chilliwack. My only concern is crime & safety. Issaquah is far safer from what I've read.

Yes, Chilliwack does unfortunately have an elevated crime rate, this is true. That said, there are safer areas. I don’t feel at all unsafe where I live (except maybe for the coyotes threatening to make a meal of my cat when I’m out with her). Around here, it’s about knowing where to make your home, and being smart and keeping yourself safe when you are out and about - especially when out at night.

@@realestatewithdeanna I hope it improves. I'm really liking Chilliwack in terms of weather and standard of living. I also have Abbotsford on the list. Because those are the only 2 areas where condos allow cats. We have 2 cats 2.5 yr Ragdoll and 1.5 yr Mainecoon :) :)

Well, as I mentioned, some areas are safer for sure. Fairfield Island, just as an example, has a crime rate about 13% lower than the Chilliwack average. So there can be a range. Shortly enough, I will be doing a video on the best neighbourhoods in Chilliwack, so hopefully that will give you some ideas/reassurances if this is an area you are seriously considering. Condos that allow cats (or any pets - especially larger dogs) can be a real challenge to find! It’s a BC wide problem. I have just one cat, and it can be a hassle. And she’s adorable! She’s a princess - any landlord/strata should love to have her! But alas… I love the Mainecoon cats especially. So much floof to snuggle! And so chill. And about three times the size of a normal cat - my Lily would have a cow.
