A little over a year ago I danced with my my first ever crush while with song was playing at a school dance, we were really close. And just a few weeks ago he had passed away in a car accident while I was on a year long trip. I don’t think I’ll ever be able to hear this song the same again. It’s just nice that I’ll always be able to listen to this song and remember him

i think this was my dad’s favorite song, or at least one of them. he passed away when i was about 8 (im 15 now), and i vaguely remember driving in his cigarette-smelling car at night time listening to this song as he took me to my mom’s house. he wasn’t a good dad, and he definitely wasn’t a good lover. my mom divorced him after he cheated on her a few times. but i do know he was a good person. he always spoiled me and got a house in a good neighborhood despite being unemployed. he cuddled me when i was scared and let me watch him play on his ps3. i only saw him 4 times a month, and i took that for granted. despite all this, i miss my daddy. i hope you had a good birthday in heaven.
