A very entertaining, all Access, Feature length Documentary without Restraints. A Film about the Making of a Metal Album (The Impossibility Of Reason, 2003), Band struggles, Line-Up changes and more.
Chimaira was an uncommon American Metal Band that formed in 1998 in Cleveland, Ohio & unfortunately dissolved in 2014.

Not many albums from any band can I listen to cover to cover but, "the impossibility of reason" and self titled are masterpieces. I saw Chimaira at Download fest 2007 and still to this day one of the best bands I have seen live.

The first 4 (This present darkness being 1st) are solid AF. Literally a Massive Sound no one but Pantera had accomplished imo

I was at that show at the end of the dvd in Cleveland. Tower City Amphitheatre 2004. That was my very first concert and Chimaira was the very first "real" metal band I had ever seen. I cant believe they cut so much footage out of that show. To this day it was the most insane show ive ever been do and I've been to a shit ton. Within the first couple of minutes the crowd broke the front barricade and the show was stopped for about 45 minutes. Everyone was getting pissed and started throwing bottles at the stage and pretty soon a gigantic bottle war broke out and there was just shit flying everywhere. They're drummer at the time came out and did like a 10 minute drum solo to calm the damn crowd down. Goddamn soo many memories from this dvd. Ive been looking for this forever.

Right!? I feel like metal keeps dropping tunings, using more string guitars but still doesn't come close to the heaviness of this metal.

Man looking back at Ricky when he was rehearsing the songs, really see now that Im older that it just wasnt gonna work out. When this dvd came out i thought Rob was being overbearing but now years later, Ricky just had the wrong mentality. Truly talented but proof in how it all played out

Pass Out Of Existence was a great record! Monte Conner was on crack! And the band was way hard on themselves. Can’t think of one bad record by these guys. Fuck Roadrunner.
