At least 4 have been killed and 10 remain missing after heavy rains triggered flash floods and landslides in Southern China. Multiple days of heavy rains have threatened to upend the lives of tens of millions of people as rescuers rush to evacuate residents trapped by rising waters. China issued its highest-level red rainstorm warning for parts of Guangdong as its capital Guangzhou received the highest monthly rainfall since record-keeping began in 1959. Rescue efforts are underway and the floods have forced about 110,000 people to be evacuated. The record-breaking rains have sparked concerns about extreme weather events in the future.
