It's not unfeasible. Usually domestic booster pumps are split up for a building that height though because otherwise need a PRV for branch lines with over 175 psi

The arrow was supposed to miss. The gases were already flowing and just needed a spark which was provided by the close flying of the flaming arrow. There was a specific area closed off and marked outside the stadium where the arrow was supposed to land and authorities were waiting with fire extinguishers to put the flame off. It landed there only. The arrow was never supposed to land in that cauldron but was supposed to fly close enough to ignite the gases flowing from it. Everything happened exactly the way it was supposed to happen. That archer missed only 2 shots out of 200 attempted in the auditions along with 98 other archers and practiced it for months. Don't you think that if the arrow was supposed to land in that cauldron the angle would've been steeper considering the parabolic trajectory of a projectile.

We usually do it in many steps in mining industry. There is no point doing it in one straight shot. But for fakery, sure, you can do it with many centrifuge pump in serie. Less efficient, but no midstation required.

Yeah. To be fair, it is a real waterfall. You can see how the river carved the mountain over the millennia. But the government wants to keep its tourist attractiveness even in the dry seasons. From one side it makes economic sense, and from another it kind of kills the magic of a natural waterfall and reinforce stereotypes. If it wasn't for this "cultural war" and CCP mentality, China could be the most magical country in the world. I remember watching Chinese historical and martial arts movies as a kid and being fascinated by it. If China embraced more its own rich history and cultural diversity while doing away with censorship and repression, it could be such a touristic powerhouse and beloved by the world, just like Japan... It's sad to see all this potential go towards antagonizing the world while reinforcing authoritarianism, destroying the environment, warmongering and disrespecting basic human rights.

All kidding aside, that's some SERIOUS engineering to be able to push THAT much water up to that height. Water is HEAVY. And water in a pipe going up that far is VERY heavy. Skyscrapers have crazy water systems like this.

Yuntai is not the first waterfall in China to need a little extra help. The country’s monsoon climate makes it a challenge to keep the water flowing during dry seasons, which see less rainfall. The Huangguoshu Waterfall, located in China’s southwestern Guizhou province also suffered in the dry season. In 2004, a dam was built to make sure it would continue to flow. At the time, the province applauded the dam, saying it would “put an end to the history of Huangguoshu Waterfall drying up.” Some reading is nice :)
