I agree. He said a couple of things I just happen to know are not correct, so it puts what he is saying in doubt in my mind. China has its serious social and economic issues for sure, but Europe is a total mess, and the US has a corrupt administration that will not allow anything but the approved narrative to be given as intel to the president. A former CIA agent, Larry Johnson, stated in an interview that for a while now, anyone who gives an honest report that does not fit the wanted narrative will just be removed or never get advanced, so everyone tells the administration what it wants to hear.

As someone who will most definitely end up depending on social security and my own savings to survive, the statements he made about not having enough workers to pay into the social security system is very frightening. I do not want to end up depending on my children to take care of me and support me. I worked from the age of 14 up until 4 years ago where I was in a terrible accident and I am no longer able to work. It eats me up inside because I don't like the fact that my fellow Americans now provide for me and I wanted more for myself and my family. Im not the smartest man either and I don't understand geopolitics and economic structures, but I understand that our future isn't going to be as bright as we all thought it would be. Corrupt Politicians filling their own pockets, Social Media destroying our youth and mainstreaming dancing moms and Onlyfans as the way to be, and on and on. I still have hope...but only a small amount.

Fair, but timing is always hard. Think back to the 2008 financial crisis. Everyone likes to talk about Michael Burry and the others, but there were plenty of people who recognized the problems caused by the actions of the banks and the government's policies years and years before. Identifying structural problems doesn't mean you'll be able to time the exact moment everything falls apart. Again it's fair to criticize him for trying to give a specific timeline; he probably should know better, but I do think you should evaluate his claims of the structural problems independent of his timeline.

We know for a fact the direction of global demographics. We know how long it takes to construct certain kinds of infrastructure. I trust his comments on demographics. I trust his comments on resources. Where he argues from certain things, you can be sure he's right. More speculative things like the ability to make quality chips for computers, idk, all it takes is one genius engineer with some patriotism and a lot of money (the CCP uses the money printer far more abusively on any given Tuesday than J Powell did during the deepest throws of COVID). Like if they took Elon's DNA off a hair on his comb last time he visited and created a clone in a vat somewhere in Wuhan, this clone would be able to build a chip factory out of clay. Peter Zeihan has a very well rehearsed presentation that he has been delivering in generally the same format for well over a decade. His presentations are all over KZfaq if you go looking for them. He generally says the same thing in most of them with only minor differences based on updated data. He's been doing this same basic presentation for a long time which is why he sounds so confident.

@@randyjones3050 Oh yes. You can find videos that where shot in 2013s. Quality is subpar but he's been at it for a while. His dates are more than a bit off but questioning the inevitability is hard, I found his videos in early 2016s. I say this as a skeptic of projections that predict the collapse of entire nation states, given the available data just from the clear net China's overdependance on the world is glaringly clear. He has sone great insights. Read his work after Marshall's, so not a bad follow up.

This guy is relating the outcome of trends, in reality, in their day to day life, people and governments tend to steer things farther away from disaster than those who predict it. IE things are usually never as bad as the naysayers say they will be. The people who said the world will end in ten years, ten years ago for example, and there was no shortage of them, yet here we all are.

Listen to what he's claiming, the write down anything he's claiming as a fact (ignore his conclusions for now and just concentrate on his started facts) and then see if he's either telling a straight up lie (China's trade situation) or taking it totally out of context (diabetes rate, actually lottery than the USA, and doctors, which is comparable to the USA and Canada, while all 3 are gay behind most of the developed world, or even Cuba.)
