If you think about it China’s the one in the noose. These are all infrastructure projects that China cannot pick up and take home. china would have to invade the countries if they said we default on the loan but we are not giving you any access. Mind you I think these projects are providing the security to oil supplies and gaining access to other resources that are not impacted by naval blockades and far enough inland to restrict aerial attacks in most cases.

Yeah, as if more guns in society helps. Statistics prove that not to be the case. China is not going to invade Australia with land troops. That's not going to happen, and even if it did, Australia is too important strategically for western powers to allow that to happen. The numbers of military and navy cited in this documentary are misleading to say the least. China's navy may have more ships or boats than the US, but the US Navy has maybe 10x the size and fire power. Western powers are also allies and the western alliance would combine to overwhelm any Chinese naval threat. Also, the 2 million so-called Chinese soldiers is nothing to be feared. Most Chinese soldiers are ill-equipped, under trained, and they have zero combat experience. And when it comes to real fighting, they have no stamina or tenacity, they break easily. It's all Hollywood for them. I think the western military forces could cope with a 5 to 1 head to head disadvantage fairly easily. As my late D-Day veteran dad used to say, when watching young inexperienced soldiers during 'Desert Storm' shouting "We're going to kick *rse", he would quietly say "We'll see what they're like when the 'nuts and bolts' start flying!" War is not some Hollywood movie, it's the 'meat-grinder', which soon sorts out the men from the boys. I'm certainly not worried about the possibility of a conventional war, and I think this possibility is remote, but what worries me is if a gross mistake happens due to posturing, and a nuclear strike becomes a reality. That could cause a domino effect and cascade of nuclear strikes that would be catastrophic. We can't afford that kind of mistake. Once that happens, it will be too late. Game over for all of us. Mutually Assured Destruction (MAD).

China is also opening iron ore mines in two location in Africa so it can stop importing Australian iron ore. @@jimeagle1155 Coronaviruses are a VERY REAL and significant threat, no less than Influenza viruses. Both virus types are made up of weaker forms and more severe fatal forms. Propaganda is convincing people of something untrue, Covid19 is very real and has been responsible for a very significant number of deaths and has both crippled the worlds economy and put a significant strain on hospitals and medical centers. Regardless of where it originated...regardless of if it was released from a lab or from nature...it is a very real and existential threat to humanity.
