Hey man, don’t be discouraged by what people are saying on the forums. The only suggestion, is to bring them to a turbo shop and have them test it and ensure it’s balanced and performing similar to a OEM RS7 turbo.

Excellent advice, I went with TTE turbos out of Germany......car cost to much to risk anything else.....IMO

running chinese turbos right now SVT turbo... currently hitting 29.3 psi DS1 stage 4 w custom tune... nonscreen removed... just oilnchange every 5k

I put them on and have been running them for about 6K miles and so far so good. Still have the screen but change oil about every 3K they rip on the DS1 4X alpha file!

I have installed this turbine in my car for about four months. It is very stable at present. My car is in phase 2 and has not been in operation in phase 3 because I can't find the right tune

Ds1 is definitely a good deal. I just threw srm +4mm rs7 turbos on my A8L with the Ds1. It’s a pretty simple setup. It’ll turn the car into a beast instantly. I wish I would’ve tried these before spending 2k on the srm package. But I’ve been taught my whole life to just buy from the reputable proven place instead of chasing deals. Not to say that these aren’t just as good. I just couldn’t risk having a 20k engine blown cause I didn’t spend 2k on what’s already proven to work. A8 4.0’s are a little expensive when you don’t have knowledge or help to d.i.y.

I am being very extra with my oil changes. I am doing it ever 3K miles and using Castrol 5W40 euro formula

You need an RS6/7 gearbox. The dct in the S is not as capable of handling torque as the big AT in the RS.

you say you take the risk for 400$, but the problem is not that you risk the 400$ turbo, you risk to damage the engine with the particules that will enter your engine when they fail..

Do you have to be stage 3 or whatever to HAVE to put them on? Or can u just be stock and throw these turbos on and no problem

You should be running a stage 3 tune. If you just need to just get by for a bit I think you’d be fine without a tune if you just stay out of boost. I would recommend a tune though to really get the most out of them
