It was a huge @ss military supply plane, photographed and published over entire globe how virtuous and selfless they are to send a medical brigade and precious pallets of medical equipment. Those pallets consisted of grand total of 3 tents, bunch of garbage, most of it expired. The medical brigade consisted of 10 doctors, unqualified for the task, not knowing the language, several government officials (more than medics) and 20+ of journalists. Medics did not stay for long either. A complete insult to Italy yet they did not start decoupling way later during Ukraine's invasion.

During Covid outbreak, lakhs of food parcels went for free distribution in India for the labour stuck in other cities...this was a collaboration of Govt, NGOs and Temples etc. Municipal staff and several volunteers used to go for an hour and finish packing. Lucky to participate and observe at close quarters, this is when whole India was at lockdown. Similarly, ration with essentials supplied free of cost to poor households. Big lesson for me on how collective efforts can move the mountains 🙂
