In all fairness, the Chinese Foreign Minister has made overtures to the US to improve bilateral relations and to resolve the Taiwan issue, but Washington has rebuffed such overtures. China, too, has been very vindictive when it comes to NATO's accidental bombing of the Chinese Embassy in Belgrade, Serbia, during the war in Kosovo. China has since been opposed to the NATO alliance and views it as an expansionist alliance. China, I guess, does not realize that accidents happen during the fog of war, similar to when the Israelis accidentally bombed the USS Liberty when it transited the Suez Canal in 1967, although, unlike China, the US was quick to forgive the Israelis, realizing that accidents often happen during war.
