The CCP has no business interfering in Taiwanese affairs because it does not have the consent of the sovereign Taiwanese people. You're referring to "waishengren", the descendants of Chiang Kai-shek's refugee after their tetreat to Taiwan after 1949? Yeah unfortunately they were the ruling class for the most part who makes up only 15% of Taiwan's current demographics but secretly despise the 85% of Taiwanese who's been calling Taiwan home since 1600s. @@hanknyc Baseball is a national sports in Taiwan. Lots of Yankees fans in Taiwan because Taiwan's 1st ace pitcher played for the Yankees back in the late 90s IIRC. If you're so inclined, there's a free KZfaq movie called "Kano", look it up. Worth a watch.

I am so proud of Taiwan these people are so highly Democratic and cultured it is rather amazing to be honest there democracy far much exceeds and is more Superior than the United States if you look at it in a very broader spectrum or perspective.

To prove your point on Taiwan being more free than the US at this moment... The peaceful protest of January 6th 2021 at Washington DC Capitol building was seen by American government as "an insurrection " and many people were arrested. Some even died in jail. Taiwan has many citizen's protests at the Parliament building and not one single person was arrested, because their rights to assemble wasn't trounced by their government.

Taiwan is an independent country as it's never been ruled by or part of CCP China. The dictator POOH & the CCP can pass whatever laws they like but it won't make a difference as TAIAN IS AN INDEPENDENT COUNTRY.

Taiwan's response emphasizes on protecting the freedom, democracy, and legal rights of its people, while China's legislation emphasizes on authority, nationalism and punishing (even executing) people who disagree. It's ironic that one of these governments has the word "people" in it.
