Dude, outstanding video. I'm placing my hopes on China also. SpaceX is like the rabbit but China is like the turtle, the turtle will get there hell or high water. Very exciting times. Nasa is not even a serious contender anymore.

ILRS is a cooperation between China and Russia, btw. It is open to others, but it is a shared vision between the two greatest countries on the planet.

@@TheFutureForwardChannel There are currently 6 to 7 different proposals, mostly from China's various universities and research bases But the Chinese are still welcoming new proposals from all over the world They may not take any one of the proposals as a whole package. Rather, they may pick and choose the best parts from all the proposals and try to fit everything together

Very insightful analysis to the China's lunar project. I think the US is making a huge mistake and misjudgment by defining the China's lunar ambition as a space race as though what they did with Soviet Union. Frankly speaking, the Chinese don't care if the US return the moon ahead of them at all. Rather, they would love to see the Americans land on the before they do because the us has claimed they did since 50 years ago. The Chinese have no chance to claim they're the first visitors to the Moon. So landing on rhe moon sooner or later than the Americans makes no difference to them. Instead, if the American can land before the Chinese do, the latter will have an opportunity to observe how well or how bad the American's technology really is in order to enhance and improve theirs. What the Chinese do care, as the video author pointed out, is moving towards a permanent, sustainable lunar infrastructure including but not limited to communication, transportation, habitation, even development of certain earth based industries such as agriculture, manufacturing etc.. So the US needs to adjust their strategy on China's ambition towards the lunar project.

The U.S.'s astronomical national debt can't afford to support a sustainable and continuous investment in such a gigantic project as moon infrastructure and alike. So the cover pic of this video denotes that an American astronaut is standing under the China's national flag, connoting that the US may join the China's lunar project.
