For your information, natives of Hong Kong and Macau speak Cantonese. They don't like Mandarin being promoted in their land. The situation is similar to our Tamil and the other north language in India.. Please respect this difference. Don't generalise that they all speak Chinese(mandarin).

Brother, visited last month with family along with my kids. Have some suggestions regarding the ferry service. Hongkong to Macau ferry service is a scam. There is an excellent bus shuttle service available between Hongkong and Macau which are government run bus. Hongkong - Zhuhai- Macau bridge. Which is an easy mode of transport and comfortable and just 45mins ride. Almost one bus leaving every 5mins. The price is very cheap (65HKD for adult). There is a immigration service at the ports on both ends. Please recommend viewers to use this service and not to take any tension as the tickets can be bought in the terminals on both sides of HK or Macau .

I remember asking about the reasons to one of the managers. He said 2 reasons. 1. Casino robbing was common in the 90s so they barricaded the roads to prevent easy escape with money. 2. Unfortunately casino la suicides are more. People lose their money and they attempt suicide. Barricades even though they don't prevent suicide atleast makes the person think twice before committing.
