The middle class, as the most sensitive group amidst social changes, their situation is a yardstick to measure the current Chinese economy. In 2024, the middle class in mainland China is experiencing an even more severe crisis, namely, a storm of returning to poverty, highlighting that China's economic glory is no more and that China's macroeconomic situation has entered a downward spiral that is difficult to reverse.

Lets not underestimate the panic the jailing of the "two Michaels" caused, foreigners are too afraid to step into China, and they should be. Also, the threat of the coming war with Taiwan makes it dangerous to invest, China has made themselves far too volatile, self inflicted injuries.

This right here, along with the raiding of the Chinese headquarters of multiple oversight companies that were required to do oversight of investments by Western companies in China. The laws in Western countries require oversight companies like these to monitor investments by Western companies to ensure that the money is being used correctly. Now they have had their offices in China raided by the police and laws passed that make doing their functions illegal, effectively making it nearly impossible to invest in China.

middle class is doing fine in most nations. the states is around 74%. it's kind of an arbitrary measurement, poverty>poor>middle class>upper middle class (because there is a major step up too)> wealthy/well off, elites. poverty/poor is the easiest to classify, moving up from there is always lower or middle class. what is the criteria a government uses for that though? no food/housing hardship? savings? amount of savings? overall assets? rambling, poverty is easy, rich is easy, it's the criteria for the middle ground where things can get weird and that can depend a lot on the nation. state health care and/or education cuts huge costs out of what might be a poor level income in the states up to middle class in other nations that have those perks. it's trying to answer questions like 'what is middle class' with nations that can make you hate socioeconomics.

What does it have to do with doing stupid stuff at all? You think that is only a problem of China? Have you allready forgot the size of the US debt and the European countries? It is classical problem of oversupply that causes crisis, described by Marx more than 100 years ago. It has nothing to do with who holds the power where, that is a complete nonsense. The problem is the capitalist production system. 1. You have a constantly rising inequality and concentration of wealth in the hands of the few. 2. You have a constantly rising supply of products. 3. You have a constantly falling demand. That all leads to the problem of oversupply and falling rate of the profits, which starts the death circle of the capitalist production system. The problem is caused by the fact that, products are created for meeting some human needs! But are sold for the profit that requires demand (needs + available cash). In a society where 1% of population holds 70% of the wealth, the fall in demand is inevitable. Because you have a rising amount of available cash in the hands of the few, but at the same time they have limited number of needs! At the same time, you have a falling amount of available cash in the hands of the majority and most of their needs are unmet, because they have no money for that and it is not profitable. Thus, you have countries where rich buy luxorious yachts while the plebs are scounting the trash (Phillippines, South Korea, India, you name it). One person with 1000$ in hand will buy maybe 5-10 burgers in a day at most, while 100 people with 10$ in their hand would buy more than that. That is why all of the capitalist countries followed first Keynes and others, trying stimulate the demand trough money printing and give aways, etc. That is not going to work anymore, because it is only one part of the problem and there are others, like inflation, etc. Shortly said, your comment only shows that you do not even have a basic understanding of economy nor the current problems and what causes them.

A "minority" group will never win against the government until the majority sides with the minority group because of ethnical reasons and not personal gain. Black people in the US didn't gain supposed civil rights in 1964 because they protested. It was because a large portion of the majority joined their side. And, this is the issue. Chinese people are self-centered and pretty selfish to their own personal needs.

This is a Falun Gong linked channel. Be aware they're trying to pain doom and gloom because they want you to think it's worse than it is. There's no context to their videos. They take some social media account of a guy that complains that his business is in trouble and uses that as "evidence" that China is collapsing. I can tell you there's videos on here on KZfaq of people going to places like LA and NY and showing entire streets of For Lease signs. That's not to say the Chinese economy isn't facing struggles but this "collapse" story is just propaganda. Anywhere you go today in the world there's alot of stories of unemployment and struggling businesses. I'm not downplaying China's issues but the simple reality is that there'll always be businesses that close and go bankrupt. That's not an indication of economic collapse. I hate to tell you folks but the worlds 2nd largest economy and manufacturing powerhouse by far is nowhere near collapse and if you're betting on one then you'll be disappointed. It's a structural readjustment from property to manufacturing.

Many Chinese people did nothing and surrendered their rights to the Chinese Communist Party. Most Chinese people went along with the Social Credit system, with the lack of building oversight / Inspector corruption, with the deteriorating societal relations, censorship of free speech, with acceptance of government bribes, with the hostility toward foreign nations. The Chinese people are partially to blame because they did not fight to ensure their rights and hold the government accountable to fairness. When the economy was good and everything looked like it was going up, the Chinese people let the government rob them of their rights. When the crap hits the fan and the consequences of the accumulative choices and actions comes to bear, its all realized after the damage is done. The whole point of maintaining good ethics and fairness in government is to avoid the catastrophe that is going on in China.

This isn't the first time someone asks where people have gone, it's so hilarious that the CCP has managed to fully sweep the issue of defunct vaccines under the rug. Banks and companies ran away with money because they knew the truth, since they saw a spike of unpaid debts due to deaths. The CCP expected an economic rebound, but it only seemed like things barely went back to normal for a short period. What everyone failed to realize was that a rebound did in fact happen, but only for those who were still alive. @@botmoderator3405 yes, now you move the conversation to a very significant question. Is the Western financial system based on debt and run by an opaque, autonomous pyramid of central banks, shareholder banks, and individual shareholders of those banks, fundamentally fair and consistent with American founding principles? The 'fair' part is tougher to answer. Consistent with American founding principles? Obviously not. In fact the system is antithetical to founding principles and has turned the American Republic into a grift machine whose products are counterproductive, endless wars, inflation, unsustainable debt, an inefficient centrally planned economy and an ever expanding, increasingly tyrannical government obedient to the opaque and autonomous banking pyramid. Somewhat ironically, perhaps, the American Founders foresaw this and wrote about the consequences we are now living through a full 110 years before the creation of the Federal Reserve Bank in 1913. Is it a fair system? Not in my opinion. I find the writings of the Founders prescient. Originally, the American system sought to empower the individual and enable the people to keep the government in check. Today the bankers run the war machine and the information machinery and want a One World system, they, the bankers control. The elected government is in the hands of AIPAC and other lobbyists obedient to the unseen banking pyramid. We, the people, are not consulted but avoided, kept behind a wall of propaganda which is privately owned in a very few hands. It works with and for the opaque and autonomous banking pyramid and subordinate war machine. Also ironically, what they, the bankers seek is modeled after the CCP. In this context the cheating is a very large scale manipulation of public perception where 'Truth is a Distraction.'. That gem just this past week from the new, ultra-woke CEO of NPR. Yes, she said exactly that. So this channel's deep, clear, documented insight and evidence into life in China are appreciated, important and relevant to the current trajectory of America. The markers for us here in the West, again, CBDC, increasing surveillance, growth of government, expanding, debt, war, inflation, and diminution of personal liberty. Cheaters never prosper. They are cheating us out of our American birthright of freedom via the manipulation of information. Will they prosper? At the moment they are dominant and have the momentum. We have the numbers but are badly disorganized, fractured on numerous, manufactured wedge issues and unrepresented by a corrupted, unresponsive political system. We'll see how it goes from here.

Almost nobody ever died from Covid but yes, every year, people who are at the end of life, have morbid diseases and immune problems die "from" (not really) a seasons cold or flu or bacterial infection. Recently we had a 60 yo friend here, he had some serious heart and health problems, he got a seasonal flu going around and you see, it was too much of a strain and his heart stopped. Keep in mind, that may have happened if he had a sudden fright like dodge a car accident or light seasonal cold or maybe stressful 'jetlag' from long distance travel. It might be that crematoriums are busy as China has begun a population decline where there are more deaths than births? but overall there are not that many missing people here. 98 of our 100 friends from 2018 are still with us. You're right, there are businesses closed all over the place and less people.

Unless *"buying",* i.e. mortgage payments are cheaper than *renting,* it makes no sense to *"buy"* a home, apt., house in China. Because you're only *"renting"* any property *from the government* for a fixed amount of time, be it 70-90 years, after that time you're compelled to sell the *"property"* again.

I feel so sorry to see so many ordinary Chinese loosing their job and savings. The world politics has become increasingly aggressive for some years. I do think CCP is much to blame for this as they were already tough on foreign companies in china but went even further pushing their weight on various countries to force their hand to ‘support’ china. Ordinary people are suffering from the CCP dictatorship control.

How much land is there there is over 295 billion 1/8 acres of land on this world, In canada and united states there are 23 billion 1/8 acres of land, so all the 8 billion people in the world could all go to canada and united states, all get 1/8 acre of land totally free that another is not using, away from any resources people need to live, there would still be an extra 15 billion 1/8 acres of public land left over, there would not be a human body anywhere else in the world, non in africa, south america, europe, china, russia etc... yet we are being lied to there is NOT enough land? oil? gas? electricity? food? water? etc... 1/8 acre of land is 5445 sq ft, an average 2 bedroom condo is less than a 1000 sq ft, that can be built on 1/8 acre of land, people build on swamps, mountains, snow etc... add a 2000 sq. ft. greenhouse for nutrition, grow plants for free! let food be your medicine. There is still 2445 sq. ft. Left over, chickens, goat etc...? they can build anything their hearts desire. If people want they can move together, 1/8 acre next to another one or far away. free thermal heat, self-sufficient hydro, people can help each other create anything for free again. humans never have to act as a slave to something else. It’s better to show someone how to help themselves, then forced to act as a slave to another. look at all the homeless people dying, murder? when woman have a home for the child, they can have for free, with electricity, water and nutrition. children in abusive family can go live on their own 1/8 acre of land with help from friends. all land and its resources is the gift that keeps on giving, to all children, that must always be free from debt illusion. its only on your own land you have liberty and justice, live by your own laws, not a slave to an others laws. all 1/8 acres of land can be tracked on the written world map also with computer. in a town there is a piece of land that for over 20 yrs has had a fence/border/debt illusion around it, destroying anything that could have creatively used it, so retarded. having what they need people naturally help each other! for free. buddha stated; think it you become it, bible states ask and ye shall receive, jesus said knock and the door will be opened. what are you thinking? asking for? what door are you knocking on? all are free to think, ask, knock on any door why do most people do what they do? politicians, artists, athletes, police, army, navy, air force, accountants, bankers, lawyers, drug dealers(legal and illegal) psychologists, criminals, doctors, strippers, secretaries, builders, thieves etc... for shelter and nutrition, especially for their child. man and woman in condo(apartment)jail or with nature? in a apartment/condo; mortgage, condo fees, condo rules, hydro bills, gas bills, water bills, air bills? food bills, fear from bills/debt, hatred etc… corporate jail privilege to live. communism. living with nature; land, fresh air, water, plants, fruit, vegetables, animals, shelter, sun light, water, hydro, fire, feelings, love etc… all free, the land of the free. right too live.
