Nearly every review I've watched of his he throws a spoiler or two in. It's really odd too, because just like your example he'll preface with "I don't want to spoil anything for you BUT" and then he'll proceed with something like "there's a pretty crazy twist at the end that you'll never see coming" and it's like, well now I'm going to be expecting a twist and know that whatever the film was leading me to believe isn't what actually is. I absolutely cannot stand people who say "not gonna spoil it, but the twist at the end! That's all I'm gonna say." And I'm always like that's a spoiler you SOB! Don't tell me to expect a twist! Wtf...

But honestly I didn't hear what you're referring to in this instance because I pretty much always just skip to the disc section of the review. I've never found his thoughts very interesting and I'm coming here to see if people think the disc is good. Even that's hit or miss on this channel because it seems like most of these are either first time watches or he hasn't viewed the prior disc and has nothing to compare the new one to. 😐

To be safe, you should never watch a review of a film you’ve never seen. Everyone’s threshold for what’s a spoiler is different and those are very hard to navigate at times. I try not to go into specific details, but I will outline events and how they made me feel at times.

@@midlevelmedia i have seen the movie but i disagree with your assessment. The whole point of watching a movie review is to hear if its good or not. Historically Reviews aren’t for ppl to watch after they’ve already seen them its for before

@midlevelmedia I'm quite certain 90% or more of reviews are read or watched by people who have yet to see the movie. Should people also not read reviews for a restaurant or a theme park until after they've had the experience themselves? 🤔 To be fair though, the scenario on your channel is different. I'd say most people clicking on your 4k reviews have already seen the movie and are just trying to find out how the disc looks and sounds. If you weren't reviewing the actual disc hardly anyone would be interested and you'd get very little views. Giving your thoughts on a film during a 4k review is totally fine and to be expected, but I think you could practice up on making that section more brief with less implications of things that happen in the movie for the small portion of viewers who haven't seen it yet. Brief would also be much better for people who have seen it. We really don't need 10 minutes of you telling us how much you liked Chinatown. No offense intended, but your thoughts section almost always runs too long and overstays its welcome when most people are just trying to find out if they should grab the 4k. Again, I just skip that section entirely now as I'm sure many others do, but if you were a bit less self-indulgent and that section weren't so damn lengthy I think a lot more people would be willing to hear you out. Just a little constructive criticism. Hope you don't mind.
