Күн бұрынDumpling house is one of the top rated dumpling restaurants in Chinatown and Toronto. They make dumplings all day in the front of the restaurant for passing pedestrians to witness.
Dumplings and more is just off Spadina on Dundas. A local eatery to the students of OCAD when they crave a few dumplings. I got the fried beef dumplings. The presentation was similar to dumpling house with the pan fried crust attached at the top. It was satisfying again to rip through them and dig into my first dumpling. The meat was a bit clumped together. It made the juice inside burst out of the ends due to the pressure of my bite.
Unexpected but I was amused. Not quite as good as Dumpling house but if you don;t like a big crowd or the potential to wait for seats, then this is a good alternative.
Juicy Dumpling is by far the most cheap dumpling spot in Chinatown. Every time I go it's busy. The price draws them in, but the quality of the dumplings makes you stay. Soup dumplings are more difficult to find in the city so this is a great place to scratch that itch if you love soup dumplings.
I love all three spots but I have to say my favourite is Dumpling House. While all our good, it's fair to say Dumpling House earns it's great rating in Toronto.

Love when the fried dumplings have that sheet on the bottom! Used to have a few stalls in the food courts in Flushing that sold them - so good!

Hey Matt!! Great to see this dumpling tour in Chinatown in Toronto. All 3 places looked really good. We love dumplings, especially pan fried. $2.99 for 6 soup dumplings is a really good price! I know this is a late comment, but I was checking top dumpling restaurants in downtown Toronto. My fave place would be mother’s dumplings :) especially their boiled dumplings, and savoury pancakes. Really yummy 😁 But it gets super crowded easily, so I’d recommend have an early lunch there to avoid the crowd

Yessss this is my favorite! Dumplings are something I can eat everyday no problems. Dumpling house now added to my most go when we're on Toronto. Happy to wait for seats too juicy dumplings is a bargain! For xiao long bao

Update, Juicy raised their prices far above $2.99, but justified with today's struggle by Chinese food spots to stay afloat. Mother Dumplings is no longer handmade,. Dumpling House is my favourite with moderate price increase, quality is still high.

Dumpling House looked incredible with the pan fried dumplings. But imagine, they pan fried the bottom of the soup dumplings so get the bottom nice and crispy. That would be the best of both worlds

Dumpling House is ancient, it's always been there for as long as I remember and my 2nd home (my maternal grandparent's house) was in Chinatown. As for Xiao Long Bao, I like Ding Tai Fung and Shanghai Dim Sum in PMall but you have to go to Scarborough and Markham for either.
