Lovely family outing, despite what looked like a cold day. Everyone seemed very excited to see the wild poneys. You are rocking the beard, Randy. The shells and sunset were gorgeous. The burgers were huge! We wish you more adventures and beautiful memories together in 2021!

Believe it or not, my bride of 14 years and I were at Chincoteague at the corral by the McDonalds and the lighthouse. We’ve been to Assoteague on the Maryland side. Love seeing the wild horses and ponies. A nice weekend get away. Just something about ponies.

It did look cold and I bet that handwarmer came in very useful. Nice to get the family way on a vacation and nice to see a bit of the coast, great place to see the sun setting. That sure was a lot of food for a little girl but on a cold day, very much needed! Cheers Alan

Spent all morning working on a family trip visiting the National parks in Southern Idaho, Fossil Butte, Grand Teton and Yellowstone and decided to take a bit of a break and what is waiting for me but another beautiful and inspirational video by America's Parks. What a beautiful video. Loved the shots on this one as well as the music. So masterful. Love seeing the whole family together. It was so nice to see your family altogether again on a great mini-trip. Also want to let you know how nice it is to have your trips at my fingertips. We are headed down to Saguaro NP on Friday, so I quickly checked on your past video to see what you had to say. Our winter temps will be in the upper 60’s so it will be perfect for some good hiking 😊. May God continue to bless you all in 2021.

Glad you made it out for a holiday trip. My family didn't want close contact so we ventured to Everglades and Big Cypress. Did a lot of great boating. I also recommend kayaking near Three sisters springs and Hunter Springs to see the manatees in winter.

Wow the Assateague lighthouse is like the one you see stairing down hole 18 at Harbour town!!! Well the Assateague one is actaully a lot more beautiful . So cool to see some wild ponies! Way to create another amazing memory for you and your family... "moments can be monuments to you , if your life is interesting and new" ... a song lyric that runs through my mind, when we are all out enjoying something new. Keep soaking in those sunsets. Beaches are hauntingly beautiful in winter. As always a beautiful vid. Fun fact: my favorite book as a kid was Misty of Chincoteague. I loved it so much my Dad told me he was going to buy me a wild pony from Wyoming. But alas, I came out of my childhood pony-less. 😂 Happiest of new year’s to your family.🎆

Hello America's Park's😊😊! Hello Smith Family😊😊! It's really great that y'all road tripped together to such a beautiful place like Chincoteague National Wildlife Refuge. Chincoteague is a very special place for me and our family and visit whenever we are in the area. I'm sure that you drove through a small town called Pocomoke City, MD very close to the VA line. My father is from that area and still have much family around the Eastern Shore of MD and VA. I'm so happy that you enjoyed your stay in Chincoteague and got to see the ponies. I highly recommend another visit this summer of 2021. I really enjoyed this video and look forward to next one 👍👍👍👍. Happy New Year🎉🎉!

I have been to the Chincoteague pony swim. They swam them across , then they took through town and to the fairgrounds. We walked 3 miles. I highly recommend Island Creamery for ice cream.

Great video as always and enjoyed the holiday theme. Also a park I have visited which I can’t say half the time. We came here for a Memorial Day weekend trip back in 2018. Beautiful area and we had the same comments as your family regarding the town of Chincoteague. It seemed like a really neat town but we just passed through on our way to park. Definitely would like to go back and explore the town. We also hit up Ocean City on this trip but ended up not being our cup of tea. Enjoyed the lesson on the Chincoteague herd. That annual pony swim would be an awesome sight to see. Unrelated to this area but I am going to put in a plug for Grayson Highlands State Park located in the Blue Ridge Mountains of southwest Virginia. This park is also a home to wild ponies and is a gorgeous park as well. My selling point is that it lies adjacent to Mount Rogers National Recreation Area and the AT also runs through the park. You can hike through the park, see the ponies, catch a portion of the AT, and then summit Mt. Rogers which is the state high point.

@@AmericasParks agreed. It is nice to see a less-popular place be named a park. This also opens the gate for other great National Rivers like Buffalo.

Great video! Virginia Beach area is absolutely incredible. I enjoyed going with my now fiancé back in August (booked separate hotel rooms for chastity reasons, I’m a Catholic). I proposed to her on that trip, so very memorable or that reason and for the experiences as well. Also, what are your thoughts on the now 63rd U.S. National Park, New River Gorge in West Virginia? Very exciting news, have a great one!!!

Reminds me a lot of the St. Marks Wildlife refuge www.fws.gov/refuge/st_marks/ complete with the lighthouse, lol.

Annual pony penning day subject of masguette Henry 1947 children book misty of Chincoteague which made into family film in 1961 misty film on location incorporated 1908 mayor Arthur Leonard established in 1943 located Virginia Worcester county Mary land. There too visitors center opened in October 2003 Hebert h Batman educational and administrative center which visitors can pick up go to center renewable energy solar energy there activities are permitted there according to general regulations such as boats in permitted areas you must have fishing license swimming in ocean on Tom cove motorized scooters on beach road feeding harassing wildlife can cause animals lose fear from humans not give food from human to animals cause digestive problems among animals camping on Mary land

Last part of my research town of Chincoteague have small hotels campground island creamery 2 museums beeb ranch museum of Chincoteague island there golf courses ice cream parlors wallop island flight pony penning held annually since 1925 horses swim across swallow water at slack tide on Wednesday before last Thursday of every July salt water cow boys herd ponies from assateague island across assateague channel to neighboring Chincoteague island. There Chincoteague volunteer fire company auctions years feals on Thursday on Friday reminding ponies swim back to assateague fauna there Merlin species of falcons inhibited assateague island piping plover between USA and Gulf of Mexico brown pelican sika deer originally from japan Eastern Asia red fox. Altanic horse shoe crab black skimmer Virginia herd of ponies owned by Chincoteague volunteer fire company hold carnival on July Chincoteague volunteer fireman carnival thank again for giving chance to read to increase our cultural level improve our English language as well best wishes for you your loved ones stay safe blessed
