Chinese Calligraphy, “Shu Fa”, refers to a writhing art and techniques with writing brushes. It represents the aesthetic taste and philosophy of Chinese scholar.
For today's video, I'm going to show you the Four Treasures of the Study( brush, inkstick, paper and inkstone )and the Eight Principle of Chinese Character Yong（永）.

Dear Mingjiao Zhang , I am new to Chinese calligraphy and I have to be careful in my assessments and opinion, but I like kaishu best of all. The Kaishu style seems to me as a straight and masculine style. It has a special official flavour. (Of course, I can be wrong in my understanding and feelings about this style.) Once again I want to thank you for your video. You explain techniques, you explain ideas, you explain the philosophy behind each stroke. And when you combine everything together, we can see the way where ideas, philosophy, and techniques create art.

Umm i have been watching KZfaq for a long time and i have been studying the channels and the tactics they use to earn more subscribers so i will give u a tip.umm what ever u do make sure u don't make the music too loud in this vid i could barely what u where saying and i think it is as a result of loud music although the music was lovely,it was very loud and we couldn't what u where saying so theres a tip for u.lovley video keep it up!😃

I'm really surprised. About the production of paper by China before the invention of the printing press. They thought that the main purpose of making paper was to find and pursue the inner art that existed within them.

What's this all about first we get us all excited and then..., well then nothing more... You must at the very least go trough al the 32 strokes or however many there are!!! Otherwise "I scream, Ice cream"

Hello Shu Fa. The Chinese flute creates a traditional soundtrack, characters are clearly explained, but presentation is poor; the text changes too quickly, the Chinese text in white are too small. Having to keep pausing to read spoils the musical atmosphere. No offence is intended. My brush is wolf hair, the pen bamboo.
