I strive to make amazingly wholesome and utterly interesting language videos! Hello everyone, my name is Jack and and I have learnt Mandarin for 10+ years. In doing so, I have discovered that it is an absolutely super power in directly connecting to peoples hearts, and creates the most brilliant human reactions. Not only this, but it allows me to have the most profound, authentic, loving and fascinating conversations with people. On this channel, you will not only get the bog-standard but very enjoyable reaction videos "Wow You Speak Chinese!?!" but also to ask people much deeper questions such as "What is the Meaning of Life?" and delve much deeper into how they are. In doing so I hope to give you the most nourishing and enjoyable language content on the whole of KZfaq. And demonstrate and share with you the sheer love, joy and human connection that learning a language has blessed upon me!

Bro, imo your talent isn’t so much being able to speak Mandarin but it’s your ability to make people comfortable and open themselves to you. IME the latter is much rarer and precious than the former. I especially like to hear the various responses when you ask, “what is the meaning of life?” I’ve been checking your channel for two weeks waiting for this vid to finally drop lol. Thank you for making these vids and please keep doing what you’re doing as you always have stellar content. I’m already waiting for your next vid to drop, cheers!

Totally agree and couldn't have put it better myself. I don't see myself as an elite level mandarin speaker, theres many many creators who are much better than me. What I challenge myself to do, and genuinely feel passionate about, is actually asking people interesting and thoughtful questions. I feel like its not a chore for me to do at all, as it just runs in my DNA, and Ive been doing it for ever! Anyhow thanks so much for your comment, honestly its bang on for me!

I mean it's a sign of proper education in China, it's also a sign of proper education in most nations if you speak the National standard, and not any dialects. For example when I speak Proper Swedish, people can understand me easier, and if I switch to my regional dialect perhaps only 2% understand me.

I really love how you make people smile. I also feel really bad for the girl with white hair as someone who has attempted. I want to give her a hug. Unless reincarnation is true, we only have 1 life to live. You have to make the best of it and do what you want to do.

I've noticed when asked "Where abouts in China are you from.?"..they don't understand. But if asked "Where in China are you from?", they usually get that.

Just watched your new video. You are so nice and kind, Jack. Like a refreshing breeze lifting ppl up and encouraging them. You really love meeting ppl. Love watching ppl open their mouths so surprised when you speak Chinese. I think it feels like a hug from a family member. I love Asian ppl. So beautiful, men and women and children. Could I have responded better to the girl who said she wanted to k*ll h*rself? I was a bit flummoxed by it tbh... I did try to steer her onto more happy topics (ie what her hobbies were) but watching back I'm not sure it was successful. What might you have said differently?

Experts say to ask why it has not been done yet, to remember and list all the reasons they don't want to do it. But the tone of the question can be taken as being agressive, condescendant or indifferent, in my opinion. You, from instinct, actually did the same, which is quite admirable!

I would say that as the young lady is coming from Chinese culture, I don't know if she would understand that from my point of view, she is a person who is loved, and appreciated. She has worth. She has a purpose in life. She is valued and to throw her life away would be so sad. Why do I say that? Because every person is a creation of the living God who loves us and wants us to know Him. You ask "What is the meaning of life?" and for me that is the reason, to know God. This is what He says ‭Jeremiah 29:11 NIV‬ [11] For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. So, in life we can have hope and simply ending our lives I believe will cause a bigger problem. And don't tell my wife, but that young lady is beautiful in appearance, and like a beautiful flower how tragic it would be to end the life before it's time 😔🫰🏾🇬🇧. That's my opinion and if you could speak to her again, please encourage her or anyone not to give up or give in 🙏🏾

@@BritishJackTalks Hit the age limit for working, 60, did marry a nice lady from Jinan, so we visit relatives there every 2 years. In Jinan now till July 15, she teaches in the states so we have to go back for her teacher planning. I also taught at Gaomi Number one High School, a great school.
