Chinese Nationals Demand British YouTuber Delete Video at London Train Station

A piano at St Pancras International station has been sealed-off after an argument between a pianist and a group of Chinese people vent viral; however, the station has cited “maintenance works” as the reason.
Brendan Kavanagh shared a livestream video to his KZfaq channel on Friday, January 19, performing on the public piano.
A woman from the group holding flags of the People’s Republic of China asked Brendan if their faces were visible in the footage, then asks him to stop filming.
“We’re not allowed [to film]?” Brendan asks.
“You’re not allowed because we’re for Chinese TV,” the woman replies.
Another man from the group approaches Brendan and also asks him to stop filming.
“Basically we would much appreciate it …whatever you doing, you don’t put our face on TV. If you are recording us when we are saying this you are still recording and then we will put a legal action into it. We will put a legal action into it. This is our right to our protecting,” he says.
“But what right, I don’t understand,” Brendan replies.
The 37-minute-long video on Brendan Kavanagh’s KZfaq channel shows tensions flaring between the pianist and the group.
Two police officers arrived with one officer telling the group, “You’re in a public place… if they’re filming they have the right to do it in a public place,” while the other told Kavanagh to stop filming and that he can’t share the clip because it is a “police matter.”
In a statement St Pancras International said that “due to maintenance works in the main concourse, the Elton John piano is currently out of use.”

What people don't seem to understand is that this guy has been illegally using that public piano, provided in a public space and maintained with public tax dollars, FOR COMMERCIAL USE, as his SOURCE OF INCOME for years, (by posting hundreds of videos on 'his show' where he plays THAT piano, and makes a lot of money from millions of KZfaq views and Google ads. He uses it as his own personal workspace, while public tax dollars are paying for the lighting, the heating, the cleaners and security... all he does is show up, film his show, then leave) and all at no cost to him, while he makes a fortune from the hundreds of KZfaq videos he has posted playing that piano in that space. THAT is not the purpose of that public piano, in that public space. He clearly is not someone that likes to share, as that group of Chinese people, (they all live and work in London, and were there celebrating the Chinese New Year) were patiently waiting for quite a long time, for their turn to play that public piano... they thought he was just another random person passing through the terminal, that stopped to play the piano for awhile and then would move on their way. When he finally stopped playing the piano, they walked over to compliment him and finally have their turn to play that public piano. When he did not go away and he told them he had a very popular show on KZfaq, with over 2 million followers, and they saw they were still being filmed, they politely said they did not want to appear on his show, (which is a fair request.) This whole situation could have been avoided if he was not illegally using a public piano, in a public space, for personal profit, for years! He may have gotten away with it for years, until now, when someone finally complained that he was filming a show, in a public space, illegally. That is why that public piano is now locked up... so he cannot continue to use it to film his show and earn a very profitable living, while exploiting a public space, a public piano and public tax dollars, year after year.

The alleged CCP cronies in this video have been identified. Newton Leng - the yelling guy. He lives in London and works as a contractor for the Financial Times. Adelina Jang - 'the lady that was touched'. Organisation of Chinese state linked events in the UK and has rubbed shoulders with quite a few UK politicians. Mengying Lui - the woman who's face was filmed close up beside Brendan. She's social influencer and CEO of Top Offer Academy. Her boyfriend, Davis Kuma, is also in the video. Ironically, she is currently being sued in China by someone else claiming she breached their image copyright.

Apparently they don't teach personal responsibility in China. If you've made agreements with other people not to be filmed, then don't get in front of cameras, because you can't tell everyone else in the world not to film just because you made an agreement with your own government. @@downtomars6268 In a privately owned place that opens for public (such as the train station), it is legal to film anything you want as long as you don't violate law \ private owner's rule. Nobody can ask you delete an image or footage because you own the image\video and the image\video is your property, which could carry with them property and other rights. Anyway it was too late for that group to ask deleting the footage since it was live stream. If that group didn't act so nasty, maybe Dr. K would use some ways to fix it no matter it is a public place or private place that opens for the public.
