A fire caused by a lithium battery plant explosion in Hwaseong, South Korea, claimed 22 lives on June 24, 2024. The blaze was set off when a series of battery cells exploded inside the factory. Most of the victims were Chinese nationals. South Korea is a major manufacturer of batteries for electric vehicles. The fire was one of the country’s worst factory disasters in years.

@@Squirtle-xm6bi None of these victims were ethnic Koreans. They are Chinese citizens and this is the reality for many Chinese workers overseas. As for South korea, they really need to improve work conditions for foreign nationals and give more opportunities.
