8 жыл бұрынPHUKET, THAILAND - This Beijing woman, known as “Sister Bin,” is perhaps fsat becoming the world’s favorite Chinese tourist. Why? Because she had the audacity to call out her greedy fellow Chinese tourists for trying to take home a piece of wood from Lover’s Beach in Phuket, Thailand.
In the three-minute video that Sister Bin posted on her Weibo page, she described an incident in which a woman from Jiangsu tried to take a large piece of wood home from the beach, despite the fact that the tour guides had told her multiple times that she was not allowed to do so.
Sister Bin told the audience that she took it upon herself to tell the tour guide to report the offending woman to customs. Sister Bin then went on cursing and swearing about how Chinese tourists often disrespect other countries’ laws and treat every place like their own homes.
This made Sister Bin an instant internet celebrity, helping her amass almost 5,000 followers on Weibo and over 6,000 followers on Facebook. She also seems to be determined to continue her mission to monitor the behaviour of Chinese tourists around the world.

Even without this news, chinese tourists will still be looked down upon by the world because of their bad behaviour. This news indicates that there are indeed a good chinese tourists. Chinese tourist are most of the times rude though... Regardless, they don’t respect when going to theme parks they push and walk in front of you also cross gated fences for pictures. Cross restricted areas cut lines. But I don’t hate them or don’t think badly of them. I know it’s not all of them. I’m just stating what I’ve seen and witnessed myself.

abcde she doesn’t relaky get any hate in China, she got super popular because so many people agreed with her. The Chinese are ashamed of pretty much everyone that makes the population look like fools, which includes those arrogant tourists, they don’t claim them.

good job Sister. Some Chinese Tourist behave horribly. I've been working in many hotels around the world and some Chinese Tourist can be loud and don't respect local customs. If foreigners behaved badly in China we would be in trouble!

Jane E well, as someone who lives in south east Asia (Thailand) I can say that it is extremely rare to see people eating animals such as dogs and cats. Thais still do eat bugs, such as cockroaches and many others, but eating pets almost never happens. I really don’t think that Asian countries even eat those things anymore, as I have said, it is extremely rare and uncommon in all south Asian countries. At least I believe so. I’m fairly sure dog consumption isn’t as common as was in Korea, same for Thailand, China, and I believe others. Eating dogs and cats are just stereotypes. I also just wanted to say that this video was on how a tourist was acting rude, not what they eat in their home country. Just saying.

Went on a Royal Caribbean cruise that had a majority of Chinese fob tourists. THE WORST EXPERIENCE EVER. THE WORST MANNERS EVER. Every 2 seconds, I was being shoved, cut in line for buffet, cut in line to the bathroom, some woman even tried to go through the metal detector with me!!!!!! Nonstop cutting, nonstop shoving. Absolutely no regard for personal space. Shoving to get into the elevator before letting people out. No manners at all! I am Chinese American & I know this isn't just a cultural difference. This was straight up barbaric, rude, & mean behavior. These specific Chinese people need a lesson in kindness & etiquette. They were ruthless & embarrassing. I'm only 100 pounds & I literally felt like I was going to be shoved over the rail or shoved into danger.

I was on a RC cruise too, same story. Since I spoke Chinese, I even got into an argument, more like a fight, with someone cutting in line. I said to my dad who took me on this cruise that I will NEVER go on any cruise that has majority of Chinese tourists. Being stuck on a boat with these people for 5 days was horrible. Not to mention the ignorant of the evacuation drill, they took it so lightly, if anything went wrong these people would be the first to die. Gosh!

Frankly, most nations have people that behave that way when visiting other country. They should all be shamed for misbehavior. Few weeks ago I came across an article about few European girls that were visiting Italy. They were using a historic fountain to cool down. They striped down to bikini and walked into the fountain. No respect for other people's heritage.

Love her standing up to other tourists. On my recent trip to Vietnam I did a day tour which had a Chinese family on it. One of the women was so demanding and telling the tour guide when we should leave places because she had seen what she wanted. In addition she put her bag on the first three seats which the tour guide told myself and my nieces to get into. She lost it at us and the tour guide. I responded that last I checked we paid the same and the seats are reserved for anyone in particular. They need to learn some manners.

As A French: She is the only few Chinese tourists that will behave while most Chinese tourists could not behave. This means that She is allowed to travel anywhere while most Chinese Nationals must be banned from traveling until they learn to behave!

Thank you Sister Bin. I wanted to say exactly the same thing about tourists from mainland China. As a Mainland Chinese too (Although I grew up in the UK), everytime I go on holiday abroad, I always feel a bit uncomfortable because of locals giving me death stares due to my nationality.

Most chinese tourists are well behaved, but a significant minority don't respect the local rules. It is good that Sister Bin has decided to take a stand against bad behavior ! If anyone else called out this bad behavior, politically correct liberals would probably label them as racist, however Sister Bin can freely speak the truth. I hope Sister Bin can travel to a lot of different countries, perhaps China should appoint her as an ambassador for tourism or something.

Thank you Sister Bin I am an Anglo Australian and have experienced bad behaved Chinese tourists. One lady wanted to ride my well educated competition horse. She started screaming at me "I got money" repeatedly, running after us and scarring the horses. All we could do was ignore her which made her louder and angrier. She was shocked that she couldn't buy time with the horse. Manners over money

Most of us do! The bad Chinese tourists may not seem like the minority but they are. We will get better. People are well off now and have the time and energy to start paying attention to etiquette.

Yay sister Bing! As a Chinese person who lives abroad, I cringe at the way some of my “cousins” behave when they’re visiting. A long time ago, I thought we are the “polite people / li yi zhi pang”. What happened?! Please make tourists view etiquette seminars before going to a particular country please. I’m very happy that they’re getting more affluent. Let’s inject some class into the equation.

Chinese tourists are kinda infamous in Thailand for generally being not well-mannered. Cutting in queues, washing their feet in the sink, almost always speaking loudly, getting too much food onto their plates in buffets. There are some good Chinese tourists out there. I have met them while traveling to Laos and there were really friendly, some of my friends are Chinese as well. However, the bad ones definitely outweigh the good ones here. Good job to this lady though, probably will spread more awareness to this.

I speak fluent Mandarin and Thailand is my second home. You should hear what these people say about the Thais in Mandarin in Thailand. I have called them out repeatedly in public, shaming them hard. When the Thais ask, I tell them the truth. They usually thank me, smile, and either discount my meals or comp me for being good to them. I love Thailand, I love Thais. It is my favorite place in the world.

It is true that in some parts of East Asia aka Thailand there are those who eat fried insects. It is considered a delicacy and it can be nutritious. What’s the problem with eating these insects? Some mainlanders have caught up with the international social etiquette of the globe-trotting tourist hoards, but in general, they still have some work to do. I know they've banned them from many buffets in SE Asia where they turn a five-star banquet into a pre-adolescent food flight.

I totally agree with her, I had nearly the same experience several times when I was in Thailand. Chinese tourists totally ignoring the advices of the travel guides and one time even ignoring the police for a while.

I was once in Moncton N.B. implementing a storage area network and two bus loads of them arrived at the hotel and after they registered at around 8PM or so, they ended up going from each others rooms back and fourth all night long until 3AM , after a few days of this I ended up switching hotels.

In my hometown, I worked in a mall where there were a lot of Chinese foreigners before the pandemic... I’ve seen a lot of things from them... One of those things was that a male Chinese tourist yelled at my face because I told him that he can’t go in the ladies fitting with his girlfriend, like I know that she’s your girlfriend but it’s not about her, it’s for the other female customers in the fitting room... they were really uncomfortable with that guy around

Have you seen some Korean movie that the citizen speak so loud but some is not. Maybe you meet the loud accent one. Chinese also same. I remember when I'm going to hk for eating poridge in restaurants. the waiters that serve spoke Cantonese with loud voice like want to ask for fighting than serving food ahaha.. Culture shock for me too. Very different from hk movie I saw and in my face. A haha So based by my experience, Hope you don't surprise if you met Asian Oriental that is speak so loud that heard like having a temper but some area have cool cute accent like anime.. Even more I thought it's crazy how they talk when in same meeting room. Good job sis for handling that unique man👍

It is encouraging that people like the one shown in the video start speaking up. This phenomenon happens in almost all emerging countries. Courtesy is a learned behavior. Chinese people will learn and change for the better.
