Chinese Troops In Belarus For "Anti-Terrorist Training" As Beijing Boosts Ties After SCO Accession

Күн бұрынA group of Chinese army personnel arrived in Belarus on July 6 to participate in a joint "anti-terrorist training." Beijing and Minsk’s armed forces are set to conduct joint army training from July 8-19 in Belarus. A Chinese military transport plane landed for the first time at the Belarusian military airfield Baranovichi with Chinese troops. According to the Belarusian Defence Ministry, soldiers from both sides will jointly carry out hostage rescue operations and counter-terrorism missions. The training aims to enhance the training levels and coordination capabilities of the participating troops. Watch the video to find out more.

@@i3d3 Why don't you learn how to read a map buddy. Nato states Latvia and Lithuania which are north and northwest of Belarus have deployed troops and equipment along the borders of Belarus. Nato Poland in the west has sent thousands of troops and equipment to their border. Ukraine which is south may not be in Nato but shares a heavily fortified border with Belarus and is an obvious threat. Belarus is surrounded by Nato except in the northeast and east where it borders Russia.

Also, maybe if Belarus wasn't taking part in hosting Russian troops at the beginning of the Invasion of Ukraine, and waging hybrid warfare with migrants at the Polish and Baltic borders, no troops would be sent there... Edit: it's not like this is new developing stuff by the way... NATO's borders around Belarus haven't changed in 20 years... What's happening in Ukraine militarily is wholly the responsibility of Russia.

I believe it could be a warning to Nato not to get involved in the Ukraine war. If they do, Russia being a member of the SCO may request SCO to get involved to counter Nato. A better solution is for the international community to work together and urge Ukraine and Russia to come to the negotiation table to find a way to peace.
